  • Ask HN: What are the best AI/ML blogs?
I found that I like reading https://towardsdatascience.com/ a lot. Do you know of other great blogs dedicated for AI/ML developers? What are your favorites? Should be highly technically, and not about "I built a wrapper around ChatGPT, now call me AI master" kinda content. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
  • Can anyone recommend a text or online training platform to get started?
You could ask ChatGPT or find something that interests you on towardsdatascience.com and adapt it. Source: 12 months ago

  • Carpentry career to data science?
I also recommend towardsdatascience.com. I pay for the subscription. It's a blog site where fellow data scientists post what they've been working on and new technologies. This will be very useful when it comes time to building a portfolio as you can literally just adapt what other people have done (e.g. Use a different dataset for the same problem). • Help!! Dataset required for Supervised Linear Regression | Learning purposes
Actually R has a lot of in built data sets just for training purposes. If your fine with just using R functions and not dive to deeply into the theory I think it's fine to simply use them. E.g. data(mpg) is quite good for simple regression (package: tidyverse). Or data(iris) if you want to do clustering/classification (package: base). Otherwise I have found the (short) articles on towardsdatascience quite... Source: about 1 year ago
  • How reputable/good is WGU?
I get your point though, but with how the courses are set up there is really no need to study at all. My first class was multiple choice test I studied for, every thing else was performance assessments. I'm already proficient in python and sql from work, so it was just a matter of looking up an example of how/when to use certain libraries and I jumped straight into the assessment part (medium.com and... • E*Trade API -- Options Trade Tape
If not, do you know any trading platforms that allow it? (I saw some discussion about Ally on towardsdatascience.com but I am not sure whether it still gives what I want). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Professional development
I also really like the Towards Data Science blog, which sometimes has GIS-specific articles but in general is really interesting. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Book or Course Recommendations
Towardsdatascience.com is a great resource. Things like this (again, soccer, but just as an example) are really good for trying to thing in modeling terms. Don't be scared off by math formulas that are all letters. The good articles make it easy enough to understand and you'll learn bit by bit. When you begin to model sports for betting purposes, you are teaching yourself to become a data scientist. So that's... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Why doesn't Ringo write anything for the new remixes?
According to https://towardsdatascience.com/: From out of 208 songs recorded by the Beatles, 71 were written mostly by John, 68 mostly by Paul, 22 by George, 21 were cover songs from their early days, 16 John+Paul songs (songs in which they contributed equally), and 10 that were sung by Ringo, out of which 2 he wrote himself. • [D] Accurate blogs on machine learning?
Towards data science . This site is good. But there is limitation on the number of articles you can read in a month without paying money. Source: over 1 year ago

  • 7 Reasons Why I Quit Writing On Medium.
In addition, the ease of publishing on Medium has also increased. There are a few publications on Medium, like TowardsDataScience, where you need to be invited by an editor to post on their platform. However, there are loads of publications where anyone can create an account and start publishing articles. This has led to a lot of people posting content that is not well thought out or well written. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago

  • Any suggestions for resource to understand RL theory from basics which explains the overwhelming notations and maths involved?
The other resource I could suggest is Towards Data Science site. I recommend using Google search for easier finding, e.g. Search "site:towardsdatascience.com Reinforcement Learning". Source: almost 2 years ago
