The moment we are able to we generally post a news release on our Tucows site and then we add the new town to our Ting Town page as things really pick up. Source: over 1 year ago
Someone recommended this alternate fiber service, already in some places in Wake County. Fill out the "bring it to our town" form if you'd like. https://ting.com/internet Would be nice to have another option. Source: over 1 year ago
TING[0] is another company offering fast fiber in CO, but it's only been rolled out to limited areas right now. I'm in downtown Denver and enjoy 1 gigabit symmetric fiber for $70/month ('unlimited' bandwidth, no port restrictions, etc) through CenturyLink. The landscape is improving here gradually, and I'm as happy as anyone to be able to purchase a fat dumb pipe from not-Comcast. [0] - https://ting.com/internet. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
We have! They're actually all listed on the website. Any new towns will always be listed here, just FYI. Source: almost 2 years ago
Additionally, if you would like to have Ting come to your town and it is currently not one of our "Where to Next?" towns or does not have an option to pre-order, the best thing to do would be to fill out our "Ting Internet in My Town" form to let us know you want us to bring Ting Internet there. Also, we do have specific Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages dedicated to each of our Ting Towns, if you wanted to check out yours and see what the locals are saying specifically! Source: over 2 years ago
Https://ting.com/internet If your looking for super cheap plans, I would go with these guys. Don’t expect quality service if you go cheap. Source: over 2 years ago
No big news yet - we're just splitting the Ting Internet and Ting Mobile domains as they're now owned by different entities (Tucows and Dish). The only difference is that the Ting Mobile URL will be tingmobile.com instead of ting.com. Once this web address change goes live it will be highlighted on ting.com for those who don't know, so no need to worry! Source: over 2 years ago
I have been using Ting for several years. My average bill is $20-25 per month. I have excellent phone service. Their customer service is awesome. I make as many calls and send as many text messages as I want, and have unlimited internet. I buy my phones from them, but you don't have to. Check them out before you decide https://ting.com/. I have two identical phones on my account. My son's uses the TMobile sim. On the device settings on ting.com, he can enable/disable wifi calling. On my phone, the device settings don't even have the wifi calling option. Source: almost 3 years ago
For your usage pattern, Ting may be a better choice, and arguably (still) has better customer service than most MVNOs. Source: almost 3 years ago
A Ting phone plan, a decent amount of (cheap) food to live off. All but the absolute cheapest / shittiest smokes and booze are out of the question. No housing, obvs. Public transport costs if he sacrificed some of the above. Source: about 3 years ago
I recently switched away from AT&T, in large part because of their horrible customer service. This article really resonates. In early 2019, I added a new line to my plan in what was supposed to be a "free" phone (I was assured of this by the customer service rep on the phone), and wound up getting charged $499 + setup charges for it immediately on my next bill, in addition to what my bill normally is. Https://ting.com/ is an example of low cost services that charge based on usage. If you don't use your phone at all, it will probably cost you less than $10/month. Source: about 3 years ago
Consider stores like ting.com, google fi, google shopping, amazon (look closely)... Source: about 3 years ago
Just went shopping on ting.com for a feature phone for my youngest kid, but none are listed. Source: about 3 years ago
You can switch phone providers (unless you're tied up in a contract with phones or whatever). Consider Ting or another low-cost MVNO. Source: over 3 years ago
One thing worth mentioning is that while we typically only promote our giveaways on other social channels, we're not requiring anyone to use social media, these are hosted through Gleam on a ting.com landing page so anyone can easily enter to win. If you subscribe to the Ting newsletter you'll receive info about these giveaways, but moving forward I will make sure we share them here as well! Source: over 3 years ago
