Timeliness does that by creating an event for your task's deadline and by creating events for the sole purpose of blocking out time, in order for you to work on your task. These time blocking events are scheduled automatically, but you can move them around as you like and see them being synced back to the app.

I‘ve actually been in the same boat, which is why I decided to built my own app at one point, mainly for managing my assignments during uni. I really wanted to have my tasks in my calendar, have a separation of due dates and do dates(a term which I quite like tbh and haven’t heard before) and automatic and manual scheduling.
