Have you seen TerminusDB? [0] They’ve got a nice solution to versioned RDF graphs, originally pitched as “Git for data” but focused on knowledge graphs. I’m not affiliated (in fact they launched around the same time that my co-founder and I launched Splitgraph with the same “Git for data” pitch), but I find their technology very intriguing. Knowledge graphs are on the cusp of revival after being in stasis for 20... - Source: Hacker News / 9 days ago

TerminusX — Managed free service for TerminusDB, a document and graph database written in Prolog and Rust. Free for dev, paid service for enterprise deployments and support. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
As someone interested in prolog (and co-founder of terminusdb.com) I can sympathise a lot with your laundry list there :D Lack of type and mode annotations is a hassle on small programmes, and a serious problem on large ones just from the point of view of avoiding bugs, without even getting into performance. I really don't understand why. Can you explain this to me? Why is no major enterprise project except perhaps terminusdb written in prolog but plenty are written in python? What's the issue? Source: almost 2 years ago

TerminusDB is an immutable graph database that creates a graph from JSON documents. It features collaboration and version control tools that enable you to branch and query data. These tools enable collaborative builds and the creation of applications designed to let many users collaborate asynchronously. Read here for more information about how TerminusDB does version control. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
TerminusDB person here: we were using the API internally for our immutable collaboration database service [1] so we thought we'd make it available for others to use. We think it is better than the one derived from the RFC and built specifically for collaboration, but you can be the judge of that! In any case - choice is good, right? Co-founder here. TerminusX is the cloud version of TerminusDB 10.0 [1] and is in public beta now. We went back to the drawing board and decided to really simplify the interface while making the concept of the document more central and making the primary interaction method be through json documents. We end up with a document-oriented knowledge graph or document graph. As we are looking at versioned data products in... - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago

The database branching idea seems to be popping up more and more. IIRC, TermniusDB supports it too - https://terminusdb.com/ I've not played with PlanetScale yet, but I am planning on playing with TerminusDB in the near future. - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
Aslo, FYI, we've been looking into building clojure support for TerminusDB because it looks like a strong foundation for an open-source datalog database. Source: over 3 years ago
Prolog is still used in niche applications. The TerminusDB folks use it a lot, as it maps really well to their problem domain. Also, Datalog never really left us. Source: over 3 years ago
