It was the closest thing to a dating app based on your music taste by being tied to your last.fm account. If you just needed a concert buddy or wanted to talk music, it filled those niches well. There is a social media site/app called https://tastebuds.fm/ that is this exact idea. You list your musical likes, favorite bands, etc. Then list whether you're looking for friends or relationships. It shows you matches and you can start talking to other people. It's a shame it's not more popular than it is but it's a great idea. Source: about 2 years ago
