Social recommendations and mentions

We have tracked the following product recommendations or mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you see what people think about Talespire and what they use it for.
  • 3D combat on VTTs?
VTT with a 3D environment exists, this one is called TaleSpire. It's been implemented to good effect in several seasons of Dimension20. Source: 11 months ago
  • First time DM and I'm not sure what level to start off my players
I'm doing a DnD session on Talespire and when doddling around I was able to develope a decent sewer/port type dungeon with little traps, hazards and mobs themed to sewers. Source: 11 months ago
  • Which Virtual Tabletop would you recommend for a solo experience?
I've been eyeing TaleSpire, but I wanted to ask you fine people what you think before making the plunge. Setting aside all connectivity issues and looking purely at the tabletop experience on a single PC, which VTT do you think provides the best experience for a solo game? Source: about 1 year ago
  • Best D&D map makers for dungeons, cities and worlds
I feel that list articles don't meet the standard for a good HN submission. In the interest of discussing tabletop map tools, one that isn't mentioned which is frankly amazing is: TaleSpire[1]. The quality of their asset packs for building maps is fantastic and you can actually play with friends using it. [1] https://talespire.com/. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
  • What are good alternatives to roll20?
Talespire - 3D! Cool features and heroforge support. A little bit of a learning curve to make actual maps though. Also, making a 3d map is killer for immersion, but it also kills your prep time. Definitely recommend, if you're interested in 3d and choose this one, that you learn to use the community to its fullest to help you save on prep. Source: about 1 year ago
  • How can I use Cities Skylines to create maps for RPGS ( DND, Pathfinder, Etc... )?
Use something dedicated to that task like TaleSpire. Source: about 1 year ago
  • WotC's new VTT policy attached to OGL 1.2 would make Roll20 illegal
I wonder how much of this nonsense is targeted at killing Talespire (https://talespire.com/) and Adventure Roll (https://www.adventureroll.com/) so that Hasbro/WotC can buy those companies' technology dirt cheap instead of developing their own, which would take millions and years. • A virtual tabletop to use my 3D printing files and create maps to be explored in a first person perspective.
You might want to check out Talespire or SceneGrinder since they both already offer online 3d battle maps. I believe there are a few others, those are just the ones I know about. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What 3D mapping making tools can I use?
If you like the Dwarven Forge aesthetic, I can also recommend TaleSpire, which is moddable to include custom assets, for the terrain, decorations, and minis. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Delianna's Journal: The Hopper
Yes, currently I'm working toward building a base for that. I have numerous ancestries done, spells, archetypes, famailiars, and monsters. I'm adding everything into Pathbuilder that I can, and soon I will have our first map detailing an island from the main continent. If anyone is interested in playtesting some material go to the Roll for Intent discord. We play lots of games in there, got one going tomorrow one... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Best VTT options for Pathfinder 2e
Of course best is a rather subjective term. I'm going to throw something out there that is not at all what you're looking for, but for me has been 100% the top VTT experience I've had. I use Talespire because it is beautiful and amazing. It has its issues of course. For starters its $25 on steam and everyone has to own a copy, also at the moment there is no integration with character sheets. It is literally a map... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Minis & Terrain: Awesome, but impractical?
This issue is why I'm currently working with Talespire as my digital Dwarven Forge solution. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Looking for You! to Join New Pathfinder 2E Group. (Southern Ohio) Vet DM starting an epic PF 2.0 campaign. All exp levels welcome. Must have (dark) sense of humor, irreverence, LGBTQ friendly. Emphasis on story/roleplaying. Elements of horror/madness. World/Plane/Epoch spanning.
I understand why you want an in person game, but you may find that it just might not work. I would highly recommend checking out https://talespire.com/ for a more at the table feel for a VTT. It also has a rather low learning curve and it's a lot of fun. Source: about 2 years ago
  • New DM here, but I know abit of Unreal Engine, so this is how I'm going to host my D&D tabletop!
You might be interested in https://talespire.com/. Source: about 2 years ago
  • [Online][5e][CST][LGBTQ+][18+] Lost our GM to lifting covid restrictions~
Someone willing to use/learn Tale Spire, god's gift to online TTRPGs (it's easy, don't worry). Tabletop Simulator could maybe be a compromise. Source: over 2 years ago
  • NEW DM Looking for players.
There's an lfg channel on the discord (https://talespire.com/ for link) that might be useful, if you strike out here. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Introduction to SGD for Inquisitive Minds
It all started with the launch of TaleSpire on steam which got me very excited to finally start building maps and learning more about the exciting world of Dungeons & Dragons, as well as other table top games. TaleSpire now makes it so we can play board games with people all over the world in a very well made 3d environment. Other apps I have seen, such as Foundry, to not have the beautiful 3d model appeal that... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Does anyone here play DnD fairly often?
Yeah we had some Lego people which was cool but we just sort of had them on a plain grid with the walls drawn on, I'd need like little trees and fake walls and props I think to keep me interested. I really want to try TaleSpire but idk anyone who uses it let alone has built out a whole game haha. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Weekly Community Post - Post your Communities, Discord servers, and Western Marches games here!
We're also hosting an art contest, entrance into such also grants the ability to get commissions from the server via a dedicated, pingable role. Once you're on the server, head to #citri-discussion and ask for @Atlas48 for more info. Winner gets a free copy of TaleSpire and a custom role. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Map Maker for Scifi
It's not out yet, but Talespire has a new batch of content about to drop for sci-fi/modern. Maybe not quite what you are looking for, but options are very limited for anything but pastoral fantasy these days. Source: over 2 years ago
