Https://swissdevjobs.ch/ can filter via language and keywords. There are 74 English speaking jobs in Zürich right now - not all of them in devops but many. Source: over 1 year ago
You can have a look at https://swissdevjobs.ch/ for example to have an idea. Source: over 1 year ago
You might want to take a look at this: https://swissdevjobs.ch/ . German is not essential, though the German speaking cantons are indeed the major hubs. No idea about visa sponsorship, EU citizens don't need that. Source: almost 2 years ago
Going off of https://swissdevjobs.ch/, there are 516 jobs listed, with 349 having german as a required language. While of course this isn't the definite answer, and maybe a lot of company would still hire someone who doesn't speak german, you are initially at a disadvantage trying to get hired with them. So I should just apply for a few junior jobs and see how it goes? Do you maybe know any other sites than https://swissdevjobs.ch which lists jobs in the developer / IT section? Source: almost 2 years ago
I can confirm for both. There are more Swiss companies that speak mostly English in IT, like UBS, Roche, Novartis and a lot of smaller companies as well. I’m in Zurich but also worked in Bern for Swisscom. You can check this website for example: https://swissdevjobs.ch/ , find it quite good. Source: almost 2 years ago
For jobs you can check https://jobup.ch (french speaking part only I think) or maybe https://swissdevjobs.ch/. Source: almost 2 years ago
Look for job postings (on sites like https://www.jobscout24.ch/en/ and https://swissdevjobs.ch/) requiring your skills in both cities (or even nationwide) and you can compare. Source: about 2 years ago
A masters degree is not required, but it will help. But a masters will probably help less than 2 YOE. Apply for jobs and see for yourself: https://swissdevjobs.ch/. Source: about 2 years ago
Here you can find a lot of job postings with salary ranges: Https://swissdevjobs.ch/. Source: about 2 years ago
Not from what everyone here has said, and also someone linked to swissdevjobs.ch salary range and 80k is the bottom 10%. Anything lower is unacceptable according to them and they specialize in this area. Source: about 2 years ago
Otherwise, you can always build a portfolio of projects on the side and try to convince employers with it. Have a look at job posting aggregators, such as swissdevjobs, filter for junior positions and hope for the best. Source: about 2 years ago
Check out https://swissdevjobs.ch/ and https://www.jobs.ch/en/ and https://www.jobscout24.ch/de/ I'd highly suggest you stick with the French speaking regions of Switzerland to ease your job search. Source: about 2 years ago
SwissDev Jobs : Tech job board for Software Engineers that want to work in Switzerland. - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago
Swissdevjobs.ch used to have some positions that were 100% EU remote, at about 50-70% of what you usually consider a Zurich/Swiss salary. Source: over 2 years ago
I've been offered a place at ETH to study computer science. But I'm having second thoughts. I've been looking at job ads on swissdevjobs.ch (every job on the platform gives a salary range) and other platforms and starting salaries for junior developers with a degree are in the 70-90k range with anything over that really looking for people with experience. There was an ad for an experienced quant engineer for a... Source: over 2 years ago
I've finally checked the swissdevjobs.ch platform and I am gobsmacked at how many low salaries are being offered. There was even one with 60k starting salary for a junior developer who is expected to be based in CH, so it's not even a remote role. What am I missing? Where are all of the graduates going? Is it all Roche, Google, UBS/Credit Suisse? So it's like a training ground for them? And why are there so few... Source: over 2 years ago
I see a lot of mid/ senior level 100k CHF positions on https://swissdevjobs.ch/ that aren't getting filled in weeks/ months. I assume this is because 100k is just too low for people with this amount of experience. Source: over 2 years ago
We are also on this side and on the job boards we run [1], the companies are required to publish real salary data™ (and we also gather stats based on that). What is real salary data™ - contrary to the flawed regulations in a few states, which basically allows putting something like 1$ - 100'000$, we require companies to be more specific and have a max range of 30-40k. Swissdevjobs.ch ictcareer.ch but all of them mostly aggregate the other resources like linkedin or indeed. Source: over 2 years ago
I've only searched on LinkedIn and swissdevjobs.ch so far, and at this point I'm kinda running out of companies I would like to apply to :D Also I dont do a lot of applications at the same time, I worry I could not keep up with all the applications at once. Source: over 2 years ago
