To properly close the game without failing your current mission, you will need to download SuperF4. It's a super-lightweight app that makes it so that if you press ctrl+alt+F4, it terminates the foreground process completely and immediately. (Basically the equivalent of terminating it through task manager.). Source: about 3 years ago
I'm using this program called SuperF4, then you press ALT+SHIFT+F4 and instantly close the game, no questions asked and it's super fast. Source: about 3 years ago
Yeah, alt-F4 worked before the latest patch. If you do it now, the game will intercept it, save the game (e.g. Mark as a fail), then close. Task manager or (if you don't mind a third party app) SuperF4 work well. Source: about 3 years ago
I have the same problem sometimes. Install Super F4 It allows you to kill the FO76 process and return to Windows without having to do the full ctrl-alt-del full reboot. Source: about 3 years ago
There's a program called SuperF4 that can be used to force close programs on windows. Source: about 3 years ago
Super f4 may work, it is an open source project that forces the application to exit just like ending the process in task manager https://stefansundin.github.io/superf4/. Source: about 3 years ago
When I was using Windows, I was using program SuperF4 that killed the foreground app when I pressed Ctrl+Alt+F4. I didn't find any other program killing feature in Plasma shortcuts. Is that possible on KDE Plasma? I'm using EndeavourOS with Plasma 5.27. Source: over 3 years ago

SuperF4 lets you do this with Ctrl+Alt+F4. So like normal alt+f4 with one extra key. Useful when there's a fullscreen game blocking taskmanager. Source: over 3 years ago
Thereโs already a free lightweight program that accomplishes this same thing, called SuperF4. Source: over 3 years ago
For other programs that do this, as well as this example, please look into SuperF4. Source: over 3 years ago
Try closing the game with Alt+F4 or start SuperF4 before launching the game and use Ctrl+Alt+F4 to close it. Source: over 3 years ago
SuperF4 Very simple and light program that instantly kills apps with ctrl+alt+F4 (just needs elevated privileges). Source: over 3 years ago
I use AquaSnap for some extended Window Management Features. The tool has a shortcut Ctrl + Win + Esc to immediately kill the active windowsโ process. There are other tools with similar fuctionality like SuperF4, but this is what I use. Source: almost 4 years ago
Better use SuperF4. Kills any app as if it was killed by task manager and sometimes even faster than that. Source: almost 4 years ago
Yeah sometimes crashes/freeze like that happens to me too, I recommend to install SuperF4 to simply upgrade alt+f4 functionality, it always work for me. Source: about 4 years ago
SuperF4 - is a small utility, especially useful when you have an old computer and a program is freeze on it, this utility allows you to close it through the taskkill command without opening the task manager (Free โข Open Source). Source: about 4 years ago
I've used SuperF4 in the past for this: https://stefansundin.github.io/superf4/ It seems to use the win32 TerminateProcess() function, I've never seen it fail although apparently according to the doc it does need to wait for pending I/O. ProcessHacker looks interesting, I used Sysinternals' Process Explorer for the longest time and this appears to be a fork of it? - Source: Hacker News / about 4 years ago
I highly recommend super f4. Its a utility that can help you force quit apps that you can't just alt+f4 out of in situations where you may not be able to focus the task manager window. Source: about 4 years ago
Something I find more useful than Task Manager for killing those programs is SuperF4. You can press WIN + F4 and click on a window to force-kill it, or use CTRL + ALT + F4 to force-kill the current application. It'll immediately kill them (i.e., they won't just turn white and complain). Source: about 4 years ago
Download Super F4 and map it to something like Ctrl+Alt+F4. This is the way. Source: over 4 years ago
