Social Fixer, I have used it for years. Until I started using the FB mobile app I didn't know what it was like to see a feed full of ads. I saw a few but they were rare. When FB makes changes he continues to work on the extension until it adjusts to the new things FB has thrown at us. https://socialfixer.com/. Source: 5 months ago
Once having used an extension named "Unfollow everyone on facebook at once" proved to be a very effective way to cut down the amount of pointless stuff on FB. Apparently, the extension was too effective and successful to stay unpunished: https://techstory.in/facebook-quashed-chrome-extension-that-lets-you-bulk-unfollow-everyone/ I stumbled over it back then due to the unavoidable Streisand effect and happily so.... - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
The Social Fixer extension should be able to filter most of those. Source: 11 months ago

Along the same lines is Social Fixer. Mostly the same features, although they tend to fix the sponsored post visibility quicker if you keep the filters updated and properly prioritized (rarely requires effort): Https://socialfixer.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
Https://socialfixer.com/ has the option to automatically set it to "sort by new". I uninstalled facebook on my phone because I'd never see anything new, just posts from a day or two before. I don't even like a lot of pages or have a ton of friends. Source: over 1 year ago
Social fixer allows you to revert to chronological order on desktops. Source: over 1 year ago
I use the social fixer app. No ads, no suggestions, no crap that you haven't signed up for in your feed etc. It's free or donation if you want to. I only look at FB on my computer though...I'm not sure whether it works for phones or not. Source: over 1 year ago
It's not an ad, but the Social Fixer[0] plugin (I use it on Firefox, pretty sure there's one for Chrome) will stop after X-many items and force you to click to load more It also forces the feed to load in chronological order, if you like --------------- [0] https://socialfixer.com/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
This is Facebook, not Firefox. If you want to change Facebook functionality have a look at Social Fixer, which is available as a browser add-on or a script. Source: almost 2 years ago
Social Fixer is also another great FB addon. You can hide whole sections of the page, filter posts by keywords, hide all ads/sponsored content, automatically switch to Most Recent view of the main Newsfeed, hide political posts, the tweaks you can do are great :). Source: over 2 years ago
Plugging Social Fixer as well. It got rid of most of the annoyances I have with Facebook from a UI/UX and customizability perspective and helps a ton with feed filtering options that Facebook doesn't give you as native features. Source: over 2 years ago
Same here- don't follow crazy fuckers, you won't see crazy shit. Have you tried this app? Since I put it on, I see no more ads, suggestions, etc., really cleaned up my F/B feed. It's free, but every once in a while he'll ask for a donation. Well worth 10 bucks to me. Source: over 2 years ago
I wonder how long before Social Fixer is banned? https://socialfixer.com/. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
Social Fixer can hide that and a bunch of other crap. Source: over 2 years ago
Looks like the wrench is Social Fixer, which is a facebook extension. It seems to have a new logo now, but you can see the old one here. Source: almost 3 years ago
Exactly and even more if you use userscripts/extension like this: https://socialfixer.com/. Source: almost 3 years ago
Social Fixer's filtering feature can help you with that. Source: almost 3 years ago
You should check out the (Social Fixer extension)[https://socialfixer.com/]! Unfortunately it doesn't work on mobile yet, but the guy who works on it does it in his spare time for the sole purpose of making Facebook less sucky :). Source: about 3 years ago
Https://socialfixer.com/ has a lot of helpful settings to that effect. - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
