  • Thoughts on Windows 11?
I use the start menu app list and hate how you can’t get that instantly on windows 11 (there’s a button you have to click). I used this program to restore the windows 10 start menu that has been tweaked to look more like windows 11. The only problem I have is that some programs don’t appear. You can still search them, but they aren’t in the list. You could probably drop your own shortcuts in there if it bothers... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Thoughts on Windows 11?
Just use this Shell from Nilesoft https://nilesoft.org. Runs beautifully and you don’t mess with the registry. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Thoughts on Windows 11?
I really recommend using this https://nilesoft.org/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is windows 11 worth it?
Check out nilesoft shell https://nilesoft.org. It reskins the right click menu to contain all options in a windows 11 style. I use it on all my computers and it works great. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What’s the difference between Windows 10 & 11?
I’ll one-up your comment: https://nilesoft.org. Source: over 1 year ago
  • do i have to live with these from now on?
Nilesoft is a nice middleway between the old menu and new one. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Windows 11 Sentiment
Theres also Shell that combines the best of both worlds. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Move 7Zip from "Show more Options" to appear in first right click context menu.
Then, later, I found out and I gave Nilesoft Shell a try for the looks alone. Gives you a new context menu with w11 looks/theme and has 7Zip among other things from the first right click. It also allows to to customize it to your liking although I literally just installed it and did nothing else - it was pretty much perfect at that point. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Move 7Zip from "Show more Options" to appear in first right click context menu.
I recently discovered https://nilesoft.org/, worth checking out! Source: over 1 year ago
  • Seems to be an ExplorerPatcher callout post from The Old New Thing
Nilesoft Shell is the best solution for context menus. Allows you to customize the layout, colors, transparency effect, update existing items, and add new items. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Swear to me
Just use Nilesoft Shell. Restores the original layout, but keeps the Windows 11 visual style. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Hi, I hope this is the place to ask this question. I'm currently on Windows 11 and I can't remember the name of the software that restores the right-click menu of Windows 10 but still keeps Windows 11's UI (I saw it on a Reddit comment a few days ago but forgot to save it)
I think The tool you're looking for is Shell, by nilesoft. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Update: After a week I’ve finally purchased the Aya Neo Geek!
I'm glad you are enjoying the ayaneo geek. My protip would be to install explorer patcher and nilesoft shell for a better windows 11 experience. The other thing would be to debloat windows by removing several apps. Source: over 1 year ago
  • First Time Ayaneo Customer - The Geek Experience
I'm glad you are enjoying the ayaneo geek. My protip would be to do fresh install of Windows 11, and all the ayaneo drivers. After that use explorer patcher and nilesoft shell for a better windows 11 experience. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Super slow & laggy context menu (Windows 11 22H2)
You can still restore the old context menu via registry hack, and if you want to keep the acrylic aesthetic you can use acrylic menus, startallback (paid but has a 100 day free trial and it has many many other features) and Nilesoft Shell (it requires you to read the documentation to customize it though, so not that user friendly but it looks the best out of the three imo). • Sigma File Manager v1.6 is released to Microsoft Store and Github. Ask me anything!
There some cool stuff in the Context Menu but probably best to keep it simple like the File Explorer version. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How do you edit the contents of this "Terminal" submenu of the desktop/explorer context menu?
Looks like this: https://nilesoft.org/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • how do i change it so that it shows "show more options" without click on it. like in windows 7
I use Shell . It’s a free software that adds all the old right click options (and more) into the new right click menu style. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Edit quick context menu
I found this soft recently, didn't tested but it can do what you want, I guess : https://nilesoft.org/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Anyway to Reorder the Options in the Right Click Menu?
If you use Shell, you can customise the menu to show whatever you want (guide). Source: almost 2 years ago
  • I really don't understand the logic behind having one more menu inside the main menu to show all of the options. Why not just have one menu with all of the options in it.
Yeah I wish microsoft devs did a better job with the menu but until they do, I recommend using this Shell. Its awesome. Source: almost 2 years ago
