Use a site like Removaly. They scan every day to ensure instances of personal information stay off, even if and when they do come back. No other service scans daily (most are monthly or quarterly). Source: over 1 year ago
Once your address is out there it's pretty difficult to get it down. That said, you can use a service like Removaly (the one I created with a fellow redditor) to make sure people search sites aren't posting your address for anyone to easily find from a simple Google search. Source: over 1 year ago
I founded Removaly with a fellow redditor and would be happy to give you a discount & help in any other way I can 👍. Source: over 1 year ago
You're better off going with a comparatively priced service that is actually US-based and doesn't cater to data brokers by playing both sides of the field. I co-own one such service, Removaly. Happy to answer any questions you may have about data removal in general. Source: over 1 year ago
The sites that sell it all offer an opt out process though. There are services like Removaly (that I created) that will find / remove your information from these sites. Source: over 1 year ago
Another thought that hasn't really been mentioned is that you're probably on a good amount of data brokers / people search sites (i.e. WhitePages, TruePeopleSearch, Spokeo, etc.) so you should search those too and get your information off of them. If you want, you can use a service like Removaly that offers a removal service, but even if you don't want to pay for that, you can run a free scan just to see where... Source: over 1 year ago
For what it's worth, there are a bunch of these companies out there all doing similar things (i.e. DeleteMe or Removaly which is the one I created with a fellow redditor). Source: over 1 year ago
I created one of these services with a fellow redditor called Removaly. It's also the only one right now that I'm aware of that scans for your personal information EVERY DAY (most other ones scan once per month, or even once per quarter so your information can stay up on these sites for quite some time with other services). Source: over 1 year ago
In addition to the services listed, I’d love to throw Removaly into the ring. Source: over 1 year ago
For what it's worth, there's a bunch of data removal companies like BrandYourself all offering slightly different services (this is all for US residents btw). I created one with a fellow redditor called Removaly if you want to support us. We're 100% US based (oddly enough this isn't common) and scan DAILY for recurrences of your personal information (most services scan monthly or even quarterly so your information... I co-own Removaly (we do data removal as well, and have tons of R&D into data brokers and people search sites) as a caveat. Source: over 1 year ago
If you're looking for an automated way to find or remove your information rather than going through each site one by one, you can try out something like Removaly (a software I created with a fellow redditor). Having it do your removals is paid but that will at least give you an idea of where your information is for free 👍. Source: over 1 year ago
Source: I co own and operate Removaly. We have a ton of free resources for this, and are a service built to help make the removal process easier. I’m more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Source: almost 2 years ago
Yo! I am an active Redditor and co own one of these services to remove personal data on your behalf, called Removaly. More than happy to answer any questions anyone has! Source: almost 2 years ago
Removaly is another one (I created it with a fellow redditor) -- it scans more sites than DeleteMe and also scans daily rather than once per quarter. It's worth checking out 👍. Source: almost 2 years ago
There are SO MANY sites like this and worse. /u/kylekrzeski and I run a service called Removaly that helps people quickly remove their personal info from people search sites like this. Source: almost 2 years ago
Disclaimer: I run Removaly, a competing service focused on ensuring the safety and security of those in the US, brought to you by a company where your data STAYS in the US. Source: almost 2 years ago
As a disclaimer, I'm John, and I run a service called Removaly that helps people get their personal information off of sites such as Spokeo and the aforementioned reverse lookup sites. Source: almost 2 years ago
I'm out in the boonies but I still use Removaly and got my address and personal information off the internet. I'm sure someone has it but it makes me and the wife's information a lot harder to find. I know you said they already had your personal information but for people that don't this is a good option. Source: almost 2 years ago
Shameless plug... that's exactly why I created Removaly with my friend /u/bourscheid. The laws in the US are TERRIBLE and personal information is posted all of the time by sites like WhitePages, BeenVerified, Intelius, etc. You might have been referring to other types of data privacy violations, but we're cutting down on one of the most common ones here in the US. Glad to see (by the number of upvotes) that others... Source: almost 2 years ago
2) I co-founded a startup that took off and is taking a good chunk of my available extra time. Source: almost 2 years ago
