I’m wondering if he’s considering Reel Smart Motion Blur as the “fix” for it? It’s an amazing tool in a pinch, but you’re guaranteed to run into some artifacting. You can transcode it to a lower frame rate. It may still look too smooth, so perhaps employ a motion-blur effect in post like Re:Vision Reel Smart Motion Blur. I don’t have any experience in doing this but that’s where I’d start. Source: over 3 years ago
If you shutter up a lot and want to get some motion blur back RSMB is an option. If it's fast action the faster the shutter the cleaner the key and the more need for motion blur restoration. RSMB is a pretty heavy effect, and the difference is nuanced.
