    I use Quickbooks self-employed, which is cheaper than regular Quickbooks. For me it's pretty adequate. I use it for receipts, mileage, and billing. It's a comparable fee if someone pays with a credit card, and no fee if someone pays via ACH. Source: almost 2 years ago

    I am not an accountant, just a shop owner that has done my own taxes for years. So take whatever I say with a grain of salt. I highly suggest getting some sort of book keeping software. Quickbooks self employed is a good one (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/self-employed). It will help you keep track of your expenses and then categorize them for your taxes.     Since you’re self-employed, I would also advise you sign up for Intuit QuickBooks Self-Employed. It tracks just about everything for you and it’s very affordable. Very easy to input deductions; just take a photo of the receipt for the car rental and the gas and it does the rest! The monthly fee for it is also deductible as a business expense.
