I just signed up for this! super duper excited!! what are some tips on mailing or nice things that you guys have received/sent? I want to share the joy! have you ever met with anyone that you've sent a postcard to? is that weird? lol. I just got my first 5 names from postcrossing.com and noticed that 2 of them are from countries I will be visiting soon. I thought it would be interesting to say "hi" at the... • I can only recognise them by the accent.
In terms of handwriting Eastern Europeans tend to have a very close and slanted handwriting that slants to the right with very hard strokes from top to bottom. Germans for example, in my opinion from years of exchanging postcards with strangers thru the site postcrossing.com have a very angry handwriting; it's like you can feel they're yelling at you just by their hand writing. • Postage required on mail-in ballots
Join Postcrossing! I had a silly number of postcards collected over the years and a book of stamps specifically from voting last time. Super fun little hobby and a good way to use them up! Source: over 1 year ago

You might find it helpful to take a look at r/RandomActsofCards, r/penpals, r/penpalsover30, r/fountainpenpals, or Postcrossing. Random Acts of Cards, in particular, is a really lovely supportive community, but be warned that, while it’s certainly possible to keep expenses very low, it’s also fairly easy to fall into wanting a mountain of stationery yourself so it’s best to be aware of and set limits if you decide... • What is a hobby that involves 'collecting' in some aspect?
I recently got into postcards. While I mainly send/receive postcards through postcrossing.com, I also try to be active in Reddit postcard communities. There are several things to collect in this hobby, e.g., stamps, cards of a specific theme, or simply trying to get a card from every country/state of each continent, etc. Source: about 2 years ago

  • postcard exchange
So, I have around 430 postcards from 157 countries or territories. I've had this hobby for 8 years now. I started exchanging postcards on postcrossing.com site. The idea is that you make your profile, write your address and interests, what sort of cards you prefer, then press the button "send a card" and it goes to random registered members on the site. You never know when and from who you will receive the... Source: almost 3 years ago
