Yes, you can read about AgTech. I personally (ML / CS background) work with plant pathologists at plantix. Our plant pathologists help building datasets for plant disease recognition. They don't know data science, but if they did they would become a lot more efficient! I think it's a good combination to study and we will definitely see more automation with drones and other devices, where it can come in handy. Source: about 2 years ago
