  • How's all the instance owner/admins doing with federating/interacting with everyone else? Mine looks like scarce to nothing.
    I've also have a account for the hell of it. Obviously it's ran by the pixelfed creator/developer, so it'll all be configured properly. With it I've been able to search & view accounts on pretty much all the other pixelfed instances all over the place.     I started using PixelFed today and joined Almost every post seems to not be displaying properly. They're all blurred in the list view, and it says "No Preview Available". I read a post from a few days ago that said the server might be struggling with an influx of users. Is this still happening for other people or is it just me?     The alternative to Instagram is Pixelfed. The alternative to Twitter is Mastodon, and so on. And guess what? People can communicate with each other regardless of which platform or server within that platform they're on. That's how nice the fediverse is.     The tools exist. There's for example Pixelfed, they aim to specifically be an instagram replacement, without the algo shenanigans.
