I installed and configured pipewire according to the instructions from the Debian website. And let me tell you, it solved all my problems. Red Hat seems to be putting a lot more work into desktop Linux lately. They added extended lifecycle options to RHEL Workstation with RHEL 9, they've been doing a bunch of work on desktop Linux technologies (PipeWire, libcamera, HDR displays, etc.), and they've recently worked with AWS to launch a virtual desktop option in the cloud. A segfault is a hard crash basically. Looks like something in your setup or configuration is just had crashing pipewire with that mic. Https://pipewire.org/ At the bottom of thier website they have links to file a bug out to reach them on irc. If you have made any pulse/pipewire configuration changes, you could try undoing them to see if it fixes it. Or, as a testing measure you could try switching from pipewire... Source: over 3 years ago
Not OP, but if you want to play with audio production on Linux, you definitely want to check out Pipewire, which is a fantastic new audio server that replaces both JACK and pulseaudio together. Yabridge is what I use to be able to run Windows VSTs. Source: over 3 years ago
