T-Mobile isn't that bad on the trail. I had two SIMs in my phone last year, one AT&T and a German one that roamed with T-Mobile, so I could compare both side by side. In California and Oregon, coverage was about equal. In southern Washington, there were a few more gaps than with AT&T, but I also encountered a few spots (like that abandoned road between Cascade Locks and Trout Lake) where I had decent internet with...
