  • [CR Media] The Mighty Nein Reunion: Echoes Of The Solstice One-Shot | Live Discussion
I always mention this with live shows & really anything with sound different from the usual setup: If audio feels fatiguing, muddled, peaky, whatever the discomfort may be, Equalizer APO + Peace GUI for desktop has presets & manual controls to adjust frequencies. Source: 9 months ago
  • Is there a way to change ALL computer audio (on Windows 11 Home Edition) to reduce bass tones, increase treble, et cetera?
Equalizer APO with the Peace interface. Equalizer APO has to be installed first. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Where to get cables?
On Windows, one app I see often is this https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • How can people hear things I can't?
Best method I've found so far is to use a few free programs in tandem: Equalizer APO as audio controller with LoudMax vst (to compress gunshots) Peace EQ (for headphone optimization and EQ fine tuning—crickets, rain hiss, etc), and HeSuVi with the included wavesnx preset, which will convert your stereo audio into virtualized 7.1 surround (remember to configure speakers in control panel for 7.1), which is the true... • Beyerdynamic DT 1990 EQ help
That is, if you have Equalizer APO and PEACE installed. Here's a video tutorial if you need. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Hifiman sundara a good choice? + what can i use to drive them
You don't need a dedicated Amp or DAC to EQ, you just need to install Equalizer APO and PEACE as a GUI for E APO. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Need help with Airpods Pro Gen 1 on Windows 10!
Equaliser APO (and Peace GUI) for system-wide EQ on Windows. You can use the AutoEQ settings for Air Pods Pro Gen 1. Source: about 1 year ago
  • why dont my iems sound good
Use equaliser apo with peace ui on windows Https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/ Https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Upgraded to Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro Headphones and Can't Wait to Try Them Out!
I use the parametric EQ on my portable Qudelix-5k amp. If you're using Windows try this : https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/ also take a look at this wonderful resource : https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/wiki/how-to-apply-eq/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Schiit Rekkr Questions
Finally, I've found that the key component to making music more listenable despite hyperacusis is an equalizer -- you might be OK with digital EQ on the laptop (like the Peace EQ), but my ears prefer what I hear through the Schiit Loki Mini+. The Loki is easy to use and lets me adjust recordings that are too bass-heavy or treble-hot etc., so that I can listen to the music rather than lunge for the Stop button. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Must have programs for a fresh Windows 10 install.
Equalizer APO (and optionally the Peace GUI). Source: about 1 year ago
  • How do I actually EQ my headphones?
This is Peace GUI - https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • xps 15 9520 nothing but problems
You are correct though--the audio will be unprocessed. If you need to do any EQ correction for your headphones, I'd recommend using EQ software that is not WavesMaxx to do the job. There's lots of stuff out there, but most people seem to like EqualizerAPO with a gui/frontend plugin called Peace. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is the AE-9 worth the upgrade from the X-Fi Titanium HD?
If you get one though, you might be tempted to play with the SBX Profiles in Sound Blaster Command and you might be tempted to create your own SBX Profiles by making adjustments to the Acoustic Engine settings (Surround, Crystalizer, Bass, Smart Vol and Dialog+). I say, don't waste your time. Don't even use the Equalizer. Just turn on Direct Mode and forget about Sound Blaster Command. If you need any EQ, then... Source: over 1 year ago
  • I need to know why My HD600 is sounding worst on AMP than on my laptop.
Have you tried to EQ? I do that with all my headphones and IEMs. Peace Equalizer APO is the best software and is has integrated Auto EQ to Harman Target which adds some bass. From there you can customize a bass shelf from 105 Hz and down, boosting it 10 dB to get the sweet bass. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Audeze Maxwell Custom equalizer on Windows?
I use this APO, as do most people that are big in to headphones that use their PC: https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Any way to increase volume on streams above 100%?
    Https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo (+ optionally https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is there another application that can change EQ besides iCUE?
If you ever need anything EQ'd there is nothing better than Equalizer APO along with Peace as a GUI Https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/ Https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • HiFiMan Edition XS or Audeze LCD-2C?
Applying the EQ isn't too complicated. On Windows, you can use a program like Equalizer APO (Peace adds a slightly improved interface) to adjust/apply the EQ levels. A good starting point for what settings to adjust can be found in the oratory1990 list. Basically, find the headphone model, download the PDF, use the values in the PDF to set the levels in Equalizer APO (tweak from there to fit your preference; if... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Full control over surround channels?
You can easily duplicate, invert or merge channels together via config files or with the help of a frontend, I personally use Peace: https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Need help setting up an equalizer for my headphones
You can use Equalizer APO and the Peace GUI extension. Equalizer APO has integration with Voicemeeter, so you can install the APO to your Voicemeeter output. Equalizer APO and Peace is very powerful and can be complicated, but the Peace GUI has a nice feature that will download the parametric EQ settings for your headphones from AutoEQ, which I quite like.
