Pc-builds.com states that with an i5-8400 2.80ghz, I would have too much bottleneck if I upgrade my GPU to a 3060, but 0% bottleneck if I upgrade to a 3050 8gb. I've got the 1060 now and it's served me faithfully, is the jump to a 3060 for $230 worth it? Source: 5 months ago
I have a 5 year old pc housing a gtx 1070 GPU with a ryzen 7 1700 CPU, and 16gb of ddr4 ram. I need more fps for newer titles such as valorant and counter strike 2. I used pc-builds.com's bottleneck checker and it said that my current cpu is bottlenecking my gpu, but other websites say otherwise. Will buying a new cpu, likely a ryzen 5 5600, be enough to boost my fps and get rid of any potential bottlenecking? Source: 8 months ago
My valorant FPS is always at around 275 to 350 according to pc-builds.com it should be around 850 on average. Source: 10 months ago
I was thinking about a 6700xt, because I used a bottleneck calculator on this site: https://pc-builds.com/, and I saw that I could play elden ring decently and it almost hasn't bottleneck. Source: 10 months ago
I'm on a Gigabyte Vision OC GeForce RTX 3090 24 GB and an i7 13900KF and I just upgraded to a 1440p 180hx monitor. The framerate calculator on pc-builds.com says I should be getting a minimum of 192 up to 415fps at 1440p on max graphics. But in-game I'm getting 80-150fps. My NVIDIA performance overlay says my GPU Utilisation is at 99% and CPU is at 10%. Anyone know what's wrong? Source: 10 months ago
To solve the CPU and GPU compatibility problem you can use this website. Source: 10 months ago
Https://pc-builds.com/ this might give you an idea but not 100% accurate. Source: 11 months ago
I've been using the Bottleneck Calculator for games on pc-builds.com. Source: 11 months ago
Really no matter which site I check ( gpucheck.com or pc-builds.com or userbenchmark.com ) they say 200+ FPS atleast on medium settings, same on youtube reviews with FPS counter. I mean my warzone should really atleast run a constant 144 on everything ultra low, but it peaks on 130 and stable on 100 with a 1080p screen. Source: 11 months ago
Pc-builds.com supposedly calculates with both CPU and GPU, so the desired fps should be accurate according to them. Source: 11 months ago
I was about to buy i5 13400f and rx 6800 xt combination. Then I saw this site called pc-builds.com which says that 13400f is too weak for 6800 xt. This has put a doubt in my mind. I just want to game at 1440p resolution. Is 13400 too weak as pc-builds says or have any of you tried this setup and faced no bottlenecks? If you have faced bottlenecks, how much. The alternative is to buy 13600kf with 240mm AIO which... Source: about 1 year ago
Yes, that is what I'm scared off, that the cpu will bottleneck the graphic card, I was using the pc-builds.com to check the good combo but even top tier cpu were not that good at the full hd resolution, of course im not sure how accurate is this website, im using that for the first time. I went to pc-builds.com but there are a few to select from. If you do a search for bottleneck calculator it should give you more options. Source: about 1 year ago
I am indeed using a bottleneck calculator site, do you have any other suggestions I could use expect this site? https://pc-builds.com/. Source: about 1 year ago
At pc-builds.com bottleneck calculator, it estimates that the i7 configuration will have 11% of bottleneck and furthermore suggest to use the i9 instead. Source: about 1 year ago
I’m still contemplating to switch the CPU with a 12600k, but it has bottleneck percentage of 8.9% according to https://pc-builds.com. I don’t know if it’s that bad. I’m using 12700K because it’s cheaper than the non-k. Source: about 1 year ago
According to this PC Bottleneck Calculator, you *should* be fine. Have you tried limiting your framerate? I have the 5800X3D and an RTX 3080 and occasionally run into that issue in some pretty intensive airports/regions (looking at you, LAX). How's your frame rate? Source: about 1 year ago
If you want to see where the problem is try going to pc-builds.com. They have different calculators you can use to see what works best. Your memory speed is a bit slow at 1604mhz and could be causing issues. You should at least double that speed to 3200mhz. Do you have XMP enabled in BIOS? But bottlenecking is usually the biggest cause of lower FPS. But 1080 is also becoming a thing of the past although a lot of... Source: about 1 year ago
FWIW using pc-builds.com bottleneck calculator shows the i7 6700k - RTX 2070 are a well balanced combination. That is is to say neither component is bottle-necking the other by more than 5% at 1440p gaming. The only thing I can say about the accuracy of the bottleneck calculator is it appears to be accurate enough/indicative or performance for build specs I've had in the past. Source: about 1 year ago
Also a general tip - if you have specific games in mind or just want to check bottlenecking in general, check out the bottleneck calculator at https://pc-builds.com/ where you can check in general if your CPU/GPU will work well together, and you can check specific games if you have some more demanding games in mind (some are more CPU heavy than GPU for example). I know both the GPU is definitely good enough but according to pc-builds.com there's a 17.6% bottleneck for processor intense tasks, and a 9.6% bottleneck for general tasks. Obviously this is thanks to the CPU but will this still be enough for 1440p gaming? Apperently the i7-11700F has as much as a 5.5% bottleneck for even just a 6800, but at the same time I've heard even a 6700 XT is good enough for 1440p gaming... Source: about 1 year ago
