I also just made an overdrive.com account and added all my libraries and search that way. It will tell you every library system that has a particular title you want. (BTW Overdrive is the actual name of the service you are using when you use Libby. Overdrive's app is just called "Libby"). Source: about 1 year ago
I guess you get access to what DBP subscribes to in overdrive? I really have no idea how it works, looks like that information is only shared by overdrive.com with the library. Source: over 1 year ago
Dewan Bahasa dan Perpustakaan is on overdrive.com now! You can access ebook/audiobooks for free just by using your library card (you can sign up at DBP or through their whatsapp, I think). https://librarybrunei.overdrive.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
Search overdrive.com for your favorite poet. It'll let you listen to a 5 minute sample of any book you find. Source: over 1 year ago
Personally I prefer using overdrive.com on my laptop, then choosing Read now with Kindle, which opens an Amazon window in the browser, then I can choose which device(s) I want to send it to. You can use also the Libby app, but I don't care for that method. That said, are you in the US? From the https://help.overdrive.com/en-us/home.htm. Source: over 1 year ago
Hi -- I am trying to help my mom move to eBooks (her idea, not mine!) and it seems so cumbersome to get books on a Kindle unless you buy them thru Amazon. She wants to load them from the library but I can't figure using overdrive.com on the Kindle. If I go to overdrive from a laptop the books don't go to the Kindle. I am thinking a tablet would be so much easier. Thoughts? Source: over 1 year ago
Get the libby app - or go to overdrive.com (or both) and sign up and enter your library card. You will be able to borrow and download - to your kindle - thousands of books. There are other free sources, but libby is a great place to start. Source: over 1 year ago
Ok, now I have another problem. Whenever I go to overdrive.com, it pulls up a website in Chinese. I managed to get to the login page by clicking a different link in the google results, but after I logged in, it again took me to a page all in Chinese. Have you ever encountered this problem? How do I search, on purpose, in ALL of my cards? I can do this on overdrive.com, but I like the libby interface so much better. Source: over 1 year ago

US libraries usually have e-book lending with actual Kindle book formats through Amazon via overdrive.com and its Libby app. You can even enjoy this perk from out of the region for a small annual fee, do a bit of searching and you'll find plenty of options. You can have more than one active library card too-- I have two. Source: almost 2 years ago
That's great. Now we know status.overdrive.com exists. Weird though. I looked all over overdrive.com and could find any link labeled status....not that I'm immune to missing things. Source: almost 2 years ago
Oddly enough, your library might have lots of light novels. Just need to use the overdrive.com integration (I actually use a kobo, not a phone, haven't tried their phone app). Most libraries allow you to request a few books a month so why not. Source: almost 2 years ago
- Read and use the book "Designing Your Life". The book is written by 2 Stanford university professors and is used in several Stanford courses, at many colleges, and by several non-profits that provide coaching. The book is free at many libraries and on overdrive.com. Source: about 2 years ago

Do you have a card for a local public library ? If so, check out http://overdrive.com - if your library is part of that, they offer ebooks and audiobooks. I quiet enjoyed the audiobook for Moon/Harsh Mistress. Source: about 2 years ago

My local library offers ebooks through Libby and is tied into a state-wide system that has a page hosted on OverDrive's domain. If I log in to the plain-jane overdrive.com website with my library card, it redirects me to the state-wide system page. If I search for books then, I can include stuff that my library doesn't own, and recommend that they purchase them that way. Now, I don't think I've ever gotten... Source: about 2 years ago
