  I always make this recommendation when educators post here. Have a look at the Outschool program https://outschool.com it's a remote learning company that I have a niece that teaches through them. I have tried CVC/sight words (which have been proven to not necessarily be effective but its the most common way to teach "reading"), I have tried teaching him how to blend, I have used apps and websites and videos but he just isn't picking up on it.   If anything homeschool may help as it will leave him with more energy 'after school' and allow him to do low social tasks like math without distraction. It was a struggle for my daughter to do afterschool activities everyday when I was dragging her out of bed a 6AM. More clubs, more park time and you even have online classes like outschool.com.   Your poor son! There are lots of places still doing zoom classes or meetings. I have seen lots of coding/video game classes online, we’ve had tons of coding camp places pop up during Covid and they seem cool. But also check outschool.com.   My cousin in yankeeland paid for this thing called outschool.com to have his two kids learn something because the "virtual schooling" they implemented during the pandemic was crap. His mother in law is a retired teacher, so he just paid her so that she will come every afternoon to teach the kids what the official "teacher" was suppose to teach them. Source: about 2 years ago

  Https://outschool.com/ is a a-la cart style online private school. Teachers post classes they know they can teach and parents/kids pick them. By being short, focused classes it avoids alot of the flaws of zoom based education. I'm a big fan. Also, class size is stated and usually small so kids get a lot of attention and social.
