Https://open-assistant.io seems to have the same guardrails, as ChatGPT. Tried it on several prompts and it wouldn't comply. Source: over 1 year ago
I also suggest Open Assistant (https://open-assistant.io) which is not even filtered (whenever you trigger a moralist filter, it's because of its training data, and it's not on purpose). Source: over 1 year ago
To add to this if you want something for free or at least close to free, contribute to OpenSource projects like https://open-assistant.io/. Source: almost 2 years ago
Also, there are fairly useful alternatives like GPT4ALL and Open Assistant that you can run locally. Source: almost 2 years ago
Agreed: I'm tired of having to use https://open-assistant.io/ whenever I need an uncensored AI. Source: almost 2 years ago
I hear you.I am actively supporting https://open-assistant.io whose training is cloud sourced, anyone can help train it. Meanwhile, I am spreading the word on how to use plugins to overcome some of the gradual dumbing down of the openai model. Plugins are way more powerful than people understand, I am still all they can do. Source: almost 2 years ago
Yeah, I did not appreciate that angle either. I guess I was lucky that the first time I heard "omg, llama is so small and can do 90% GPT" I called bullshit. However if you check something like https://open-assistant.io/ one can see how one can talk about really very different things in the area of local llm's. One guy talks about his 13B q4_0 that is prompted in the wrong format with bad settings, the other guy... Source: almost 2 years ago

Change model is easy to do. If you try Open Assistant, you can change what model you want to use, yeah it is part of the feature, but may also apply for Bard. https://open-assistant.io. Source: almost 2 years ago
FWIW, I just tried the same prompt with open assistant > {"primary_hue": 345, "complementary_hue": 55, "reason": "For bedtime, warm orange tones at 345 create relaxation while paired with cool green at 55 helps prepare your body for sleep."} You can absolutely replace this with something self hosted, this was using the `oasst-sft-6-llama-30b` model on https://open-assistant.io. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
Look into OpenAssistant. This is probably not the right solution, but it's a highly promising area of research none the less. Source: almost 2 years ago
I've been trying to use OpenAssistant https://open-assistant.io/ since it was released, and it's very true that it was horribly bad at the beginning. But in the last week, I'm feeling like this AI is getting much better, maybe reaching the level that other people see on Bard. Source: almost 2 years ago
I believe Open Assistant avoids this issue by strictly ensuring non-commerciality in their services, being backed by a non-profit. Source: almost 2 years ago
I once, for fun, whipped up an entire star sector using only Stars Without Number and Open Assistant. I might actually use it for a campaign some day, but... yeah, absolutely top-notch selection of tags, and that AI figured out a way to mix together even the most inexplicable tags (e.g. post-scarcity but also zombies -- with the low population and temperature, it decided it was a handful of fortified post-scarcity... In comparison, this is what Open Assistant (https://open-assistant.io highly recommended) produces. First try, same prompt:. Source: almost 2 years ago
They're a set of models developed by the Open Assistant team and community (https://open-assistant.io/) but there are quite a few variations of their models out there. Check out any models with "oasst" in the title: https://huggingface.co/models?sort=downloads&search=oasst. Source: almost 2 years ago
I heard people claiming this is at GPT 3 level: https://open-assistant.io/. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
