Newsletter #141
A new extended version of the SaaS Tribune

Ideas

Hello everyone, and welcome to this week's issues of SaaS Tribune. It's a new and extended version that I will try to make helpful to all of you.

I will be sharing a few interesting topic from around the web:

There's a hugely supported call to make our websites and web-apps HTML First instead of "JavaScript First". The main suggestion being:

  • Leveraging the default capabilities of modern web browsers.
  • Leveraging the extreme simplicity of HTML's attribute syntax.
  • Leveraging the web's ViewSource affordance.

News

Ruby on Rails

And, of course, we should not forget that The Ruby on Rails Documentary was released this week. It is amazing. It is inspiring. And, if you didn't know, SaaSHub is running on Rails, too. That's why this documentary is so dear to me. I've been crafting web-apps with its help since v0.9 (or something) of Rails. Bonus, Ruby is getting faster every year YJIT Is the Most Memory-Efficient Ruby JIT

SaaSHub Updates

  • I've fully discontinued the Twitter integration of SaaSHub as there is no Twitter anymore.
  • As this is, future issues of the SaaS Tribune will be more content rich. This is still work in progress.
