  • How to Stand Out When Asking for a Job
Telling somebody, “I want to work for you” is only as good as the reasons you give them. If you show them that you can identify value that they need created and can create it, you take a lot of that work off of their plate. Loom is a good tool for walking people through what you can create. Source: 11 months ago
  • Show HN: Walkie-Talkie for Badass Developers

  • Animation for software guides/snippets
While not animation software, both loom.com and scribehow.com are a version of this. Loom is pure video and audio, Scribe is a combo of screenshots and written steps. It 'watches' what you do, then makes an instructional guide that can be edited later. Source: about 1 year ago

Loom.com - this is my favourite tool, whenever I'm reporting a bug or explaining a process or an idea to anyone I create a Loom video and share the link for them to watch whenever they want. 9 times out of 10 it means they never have to ask me again - massive time saver! Source: over 1 year ago
  • Anybody here use Promethean Boards?
I have one. It's not magic but be glad you have one. Install these aps: Youtube, Google Drive, Power Point reader, Amazon Prime. • Useful tools and resources for teachers
Loom - Loom is incredibly useful because it allows you to record short videos of your screen and share it with people. She finds this especially helpful when she doesn't feel like typing out a super long email, she just records a quick video to explain something. Source: about 2 years ago
  • How to start conversations with users
‍Whether you're contacting users over email, DM, a thread — wherever — you're bound by the limits of written communication. Written questions and answers can be misinterpreted, and descriptions can be long and vague. By including a video with your message you can be more clear and users can watch something more interesting than a plain old email. Tools like Tella and Loom make it easy to record your screen and... • Any opensource self hosted screed record sharing tool?
I do a lot of online tutorials with short video clips. I recently tried loom.com/ and similar solutions, and they're great. It's not only for sharing video clips but it has video management, captioning, even editing or clipping. And best part is I don't have to wait for the video to finish uploading before I can share the link. It's really convenient. Source: over 2 years ago

  • Why can't the new Xbox Wireless Headset be my go-to for work and play? 😭
Auto-shutoff: Why can't I control this behavior? This seems to be a bigger issue when recording on a computer. After 15 mins or so, the headset disconnects from my computer and sometimes crashes my recording application. I also noticed that if I'm listening to music, as I'm about to start recording, the music becomes even more muffled. I think the headset switches power modes for recording? Or switches drivers?...
