Let’s demonstrate how to use a log drain. For this, we’ll use BetterStack (formerly Logtail). We created a free account. After logging in, we navigated to the Source page, and clicked Connect source. - Source: dev.to / 9 months ago

They might as well go for a cheap hosted solution like Logtail, but it sounds like ingestion is a problem. Can you run fluentd/fluentbit? Source: almost 2 years ago
Hey, I don’t work with log ingestion for my career but the people I work with use GrayLog and have been looking for an alternative. I got an email not too long ago that was basically just advertising BetterStack/LogTail. Curious if you’ve heard of it or have any experience with it? https://betterstack.com/logtail. LogTail provides SQL-compatible structured log management based on ClickHouse, an OLAP database. In Logtail, you can analyze your logs by writing custom SQL queries. You can also connect Logtail to any BI tool directly. For visualization, it provides hosted Grafana dashboards which you can use to create custom charts and dashboards. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
How do you compare to https://betterstack.com/logtail which also seems to be built on Clickhouse? - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago

It allows users to collect logs across your software stack, from system logs to databases, Docker, and more. - Source: dev.to / about 3 years ago

Disclaimer: I'm a co-founder of https://logtail.com, ClickHouse-based hosted log management platform. PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, and ClickHouse are all impressive pieces of software. We use both PostgreSQL and ClickHouse at Logtail. ClickHouse shines for true OLAP use-cases and is very hard to beat performance-wise when configured properly. Example: > Poor inserts and much higher disk usage (e.g., 2.7x higher... - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
Agreed! > Ubers Clickhouse as a Log Storage thing We built hosted ClickHouse-based logging as a service https://logtail.com, just launched with Show HN last week. Disclaimer: I'm the founder, happy to answer any questions. - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
