My bad bro, do u have a LBRY channel? YouTube is dying so many of us use LBRY cuz it’s decentralized and uses the blockchain tech. I’ll be ur first sub http://lbry.tv/ https://lbry.com/. Source: almost 3 years ago
Is the Odysee team a spinoff of the native lbry.tv team? Are there any LBRY projects like Odysee that are independent from the LBRY team? Source: almost 3 years ago
I'm not sure. They replaced something called lbry.tv with odysee. Source: almost 3 years ago
Is this essentially a replacement for the closed lbry.tv? Source: about 3 years ago
When I first discovered https://lbry.tv/ (now redirected to https://odysee.com/) I recognized it as an alternative to YouTube, and I discovered/found it I think probably during one of my searches for alternatives to YouTube, cuz of all the gaslighting psychological manipulation censorship I was experiencing at the time (e.g. I can see my own comments, nobody else can, and all sorts of difficult to explain things... Isn't odysee really just lbry.tv though, just it's newer form created to compete with youtube? If odysee became it's own centralized platform totally separate from anything LBRY I would be really disappointed and would definitely post my videos on one of the other less popular federated/distributed platforms as well and eventually try to ween off of odysee. At that point there's no real reason to use odysee over... Source: about 3 years ago
Removing lbry.tv was one of the reason I spin up https://madiator.com/ (forked before removing code in favour of Odysee) . It uses SDK as content delivery system so it won't play content that is not seed by P2P network. Reflectors server are removed :). Source: about 3 years ago
Also I have own repository that is code of old lbry.tv cause web app is now removed from desktop-app repo. https://github.com/kodxana/madiator.com. Source: about 3 years ago
This news post appears to contain some of the drone footage. Are you saying there is substantially more? Please ignore the color commentary on the matter. This is one of the few sources I found. https://amp.thepostmillennial.com/breaking-new-video-reveals-the-truth-about-kyle-rittenhouses-fateful-night-in-kenosha/... - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
I know for some people the LBRY app is a turn off, because it's an app. Sadly for now it's the only way, unless someone makes an alternative to Odysee. We had lbry.tv but they killed it when it wasn't necessary. Source: over 3 years ago
On LBRY Desktop App you can disable usage of LBRY Inc servers, or do like me and host own lbry.tv instance madiator.com. Source: over 3 years ago
The content is being delivered both from LBRY Inc.'s servers and anyone seeding from their own computers, regardless of whether you are accessing it via the Odysee or lbry.tv website or the LBRY app. Source: over 3 years ago
None of these formats are supported by lbry-desktop or lbry.tv at the moment. You will need to build your own website to publish content in these formats. Source: over 3 years ago

Odysee is still lacking with that. But LBRY desktop app and lbry.tv(as long as it exists) has some useful features to find channels. https://lbry.com/faq/trending. Source: over 3 years ago
I am testing Rumble, and it is very good. Stable, no performance issue so far. There are dozen or so alternatives to you youtube, almost all of them are good. The only one I had problems with was lbry.tv, which is now becoming odysee.com. The latter I did not use seriously so far to form an educated opinion about it. That is a project for the next weekend, if I have an hour or so to take it for a ride. Source: over 3 years ago
Most people do not have a bit of coding knowledge, so if websites(such as Odysee, lbry.tv, etc...) start censoring (and I predict they will), most are left in the dark. That's why I like zeronet.io, nothing can be censored ever however, the user interface is confusing, and in the current state, most people will be unable to use it as intended. Source: over 3 years ago
Not sure if that can be disabled on android app. For now uploading to lbry.tv or odysee.com shouldn't have any additional transcoding. Source: over 3 years ago
If you upload mature content, it must be properly tagged. Set pink mature tag on publish. This allows it to be filtered out for people who don't want to see it. People who want to see it can allow it from settings and view mature content on lbry.tv(as long as it exists) or on LBRY desktop/android app. I think that mature content doesn't qualify for view rewards, but other users are completely free to tip you. "Following" should only show content from creators that you follow. The random videos may be reposts from the creators you follow. At the moment Odysee doesn't seem to have option to "hide reposts". You may want to use lbry.tv or LBRY desktop app, which have that option in settings. Source: over 3 years ago
