  When I'm pricing out bikes, I search through ads in Facebook Marketplace and craigslist to see what that model of bike and other similar bikes are selling for. I find sites like kbb.com wildly out of tune with what folks are actually asking locally. Source: 10 months ago

  $1500. With some major issues. It was a Subaru. They were more concerned with scratches than the mechanics it seemed. There was no rust on my var. Your Honda is probably worth more. You can probably just call them but I found them by getting an offer from kbb.com. They are affiliated with them.   Search for the same model and year on kbb.com and/or autotrader.com and see what this car is being listed for by others who are selling the same one. Notice miles and different trim packages/features and how they affect the price people are asking for.   As for pricing, check first with kbb.com, but also shop around a bit for "comparables" (cars of the same year as yours, with similar equipment). You can check on Autotrader, CarGurus and cars.com for similar cars. Source: about 1 year ago

  Do be sure to run the particulars at kbb.com for your zip code and also, if it's a reputable dealer, if you ask them for a car-fax, they should provide one.   You should use a site like kbb.com and put in your zip code to see what the local going rate is. Not enough information (what model and engine, how well equipped, etc). Locally private party for 2019 SE Hybrid range is 14,130 to 16,600 with median price of 15,000 so it would be an okay deal locally depending on the condition and any options over the standard SE.   Buy used off Craigslist, take it to a reputable mechanic for a purchase inspection. Worth the $200-$300 cost. ONce you find a car you like check the price using kelly blue book "private party" which is significantly lower than dealer prices. kbb.com.
