I use Google Translate handwriting detection to get the kanji as a character and then I use https://jisho.org to get the meaning. Source: 5 months ago
I recommend you using Jisho or renshuu as well, as Jisho is a dictionary and renshuu a learning platform (with dictionary). They'll help you with expressions and kanji. Also, I recommend you Yuko Sensei's YouTube channel, as she has a lot of videos about kanji, kana, particles, grammar, etc. Source: 5 months ago
Front: Word how it is most commonly written (you can see if it is more commonly written in kana when searching it on jisho.org ). Source: 5 months ago
Whether we consider official sub being wrong or not (there are different official subs btw for streaming and bluray anyway), here the original text does not mention the word world (世界, sekai) at all, it uses the world "all" or "everything" instead, which the translator interpreted meaning "world" (or thought it would sound cooler). The translation what I posted is accurate, feel free to take it to Google translate... Source: 10 months ago
Just adding on to this, jisho.org is an incredibly useful online Japanese/English dictionary. You can look up kanji by drawing it (stroke order VERY much matters in this), by the radicals (the smaller pictures that make up the kanji, like 月 in 青), or by voice. Source: 10 months ago
I personally use Takoboto for my dictionary, but sites like jisho.org are perfectly fine as well (Since I'm on mobile a lot, the Takoboto app works really well for me). Source: 10 months ago
There were a couple times when it was difficult but just used jisho.org for individual words that I didn't know or couldn't explain in a way that made sense. Source: 11 months ago
The "usually written using kana alone" is not a jisho.org feature per se, but a part of JMDict, which is the internal Japanese dictionary used by the website. As such, it is not relevant if the "system" be reliable in the context of jisho as much as it is in the context of JMDict. Source: 11 months ago
Well most people here when they say Jisho mean jisho.org but there are also a dozen apps of the same name, but most probably just use the JMdict. Source: 11 months ago
Recently, I've started editing my deck a bit as I go. For example, if the definition for a words is something ambiguous like "run" or similar, I'll look the word up on jisho.org and copay and paste the full set of definitions. It seems to work much better. Source: 11 months ago
The website is jisho.org. I've tried with embed and iframe and both work but shows result for {{Frente}} and not the content of the field. Source: 11 months ago
I guess it's not 'wrong' as such but お金 is just more common. I just looked money up on jisho.org and it comes up as お金 but also gives an option for just 金. Even in informal situations I still think I would use お金. I think it just rolls off the tongue better. Source: 11 months ago
If you want puns anyway: I'll give some ideas here. You can also go to jisho and search "sei" and "gi" for more words or definitions. Source: 11 months ago
Using google translate or other sites such as jisho.org, which provide features to simply draw kana, you'll be able to copy paste and search for them easily. Source: 11 months ago
Jisho.org has example sentences, underneath the word there is a "links" drop down and you can choose to search for sentences with the word. Source: 11 months ago

Huh, I always thought it had something to do with "God" but having looked up "whale" on jisho.org and knowing Japanese phonetics it definitely checks out. Source: 11 months ago
Jisho.org is an excellent website to look up Japanese words. They even have sample sentences to help you see how words are used in context. Source: 12 months ago
