I use HeliumGeek for mobile and heliumtracker.io and hotspotty.net for desktop. Source: 12 months ago
Try hotspotty.net and click on the Info tab. It has your antenna height and gain info listed, although I'm not sure how often it gets updated. Source: about 1 year ago
This, large hexes will effect your transmit scale just as much as small ones. Check hotspotty.net for a more detailed hex view. Source: over 1 year ago
I would recommend getting on https://hotspotty.net/. You will be able to figure it out there. Source: over 1 year ago
Use hotspotty.net and place your miner in the next free res10 hex. Source: over 1 year ago
Check the actual status in https://hotspotty.net/. Source: almost 2 years ago
You need to check on http://hotspotty.net. Source: almost 2 years ago
Https://hotspotty.net/ has a facility for people to register to receive messages. If they haven't registered you cant. Source: almost 2 years ago
Just looked on hotspotty.net under info it shows that they are all set at 30 meters with 5.8Dbi at the 1 o'clock and 2 o'clock locations there are what look like large electrical towers https://imgur.com/a/lxuJdsn but at the 7 o'clock position... I see nothing in this waste land to get to 30 meters up: https://imgur.com/TcE56Yp. Source: about 2 years ago
Your location on the map won't be the exact location you selected in the app. The map puts every location in the center of the hex for privacy reasons. You have to use a website like hotspotty.net to see a more accurate location of your asserted hotspot location. As long as it's fairly close you should be fine. Source: about 2 years ago
Mine is doing the same thing. Set it up April 1st, constructed a couple days worth of challenges from April 5th to 11th, then nothing. Everything shows good except for hotspotty.net's pingtest returning my blockchain ping was not successful. Super frustrating that we joined at a time when it seems like everything is f'd up. Would you say it'd be worth to place a miner there if transmit scale would be low accoring to hotspotty.net even though I could pretty much cover the whole city (again, according to link.ui.com)? Source: about 2 years ago
Helium explorer shows my miner as relayed for several days now but when I check hotspotty.net it shows not relayed and the port test passes. Also checked diagnostics page and it shows NAT as none. So is my hotspot still actually relayed or is this just helium explorer being slow to update? I want to make sure I have done everything I can to clear the relayed message on my end. Go to hotspotty.net find your hex, it will tell you how many are currently allowed in your hex, it is based on population density. In a densly populated downtown, it may be 4, while my small neighborhood at the edge of the metro area is only 1. Source: about 2 years ago
Same. My X2 hasn't taken a new snapshot since it originally synced. I've resolved my "relayed" issue and everything seems to be working well, except on hotspotty.net I'm still showing "syncing" and that the blockchain info is currently outdated. I've see some posts about MNTD miners needing to swap out for a larger/faster SD card, and I'm wondering if that's my issue? Source: over 2 years ago
Use the tool I linked you to. You can see exact hotspot locations and height by looking on https://hotspotty.net. Take that information and plug it into a line of sight tool and put in the height and location that your antenna will be at. Radio waves do not go through land. If you were sold on Helium by just setting the antenna on a windowsill and making money, you’re gonna have a bad time. Source: over 2 years ago
Resolutions are like... Smaller hexes making up the pieces for a bigger hex, like 7 res 10 hexes make up 1 res 9 hex, something like that. I play around with it on hotspotty.net (under Rewards Scaling tab) tho I'm not sure how accessible it is since I have the paid version (I don't remember how much either since it was a long while ago lol). The Explorer shows Resolution 7 hexes to display location. You can use sites like hotspotty.net or helium.vision to see the precise asserted location of your miners. Depending on how the hexes are drawn over your houses, the explorer may lump them together. Source: over 2 years ago
As far as I know, https://hotspotty.net/ is your only option. Source: over 2 years ago
If you are checking with explorer, it is very slow to update. I like hotspotty.net. Source: over 2 years ago
The asserted location will show in the middle of the hex of wherever you asserted within that hex. You need to use a website like hotspotty.net to see where its asserted on the map accurately. Source: over 2 years ago
