I like how https://hemingwayapp.com/ approached this for text. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
Similar reaction here. That said I'd love the idea of a locally hosted https://hemingwayapp.com/ to help with keeping things short and simple ... This linter sadly isn't it. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
No matter who you are or what you do, chances are, you're probably spending time writing every week. One of the biggest barriers to effective communication is clarity. If your writing isn't clear, concise, and impactful, many people will struggle to read and understand it. But the Hemingway App can help keep all your writing crisp and clean. Named after the writer renowned for his straightforward style, Hemingway... - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago
Hemingway Editor - A text editor to see how readable your copy is (One of my Favorites). Source: 8 months ago
For your examples given, I use Hemingway Editor to cut down on my adverbs. Adverbs aren't bad, but I want a stronger punch with my writing and cutting down on adverbs helps (for me). It forces me to expand on the action. Passive voice is one I need to work on, personally. Cut them down, along with adverbs, I think, helps your writing a great deal. Source: 8 months ago
Use every tool available to check your writing. Tools like Grammarly and hemingwayapp.com can only improve your writing. For shorter pieces, try printing them out and voicing them (to yourself) to check for errors. (Old school, but it still works for me.). Source: 9 months ago

Hemingway Editor: Free online text editor that helps you cut down your text, making it more streamlined and focused- much like the prose of Ernest Hemingway, who it's named after. It's pretty solid at what it does, but a few caveats- first, it doesn't catch grammatical errors and such, it's just a style editor. And second, you don't always want to write in a Hemingway-esque style. And third, it's really only... Source: 9 months ago

A free equivalent of Grammarly that I use is hemingwayapp.com. OP, you can chuck a paragraph or two in there and it will instantly highlight any sentences which are difficult to read. I find it really helpful to check the readability of something at a glance. Source: 9 months ago
So, I'm currently editing a short story in Hemingway editor, but I've noticed a bit of a bug/issue. When I copy what I've done on the website, and then paste it back into google docs, theres some sort of colouring behind whats been pasted in? Source: 9 months ago

Hi Saurav, I agree with the other poster who mentioned the gradient colour of the text, I also didn't like that. Also I'd recommend running your copy through an editor like hemingwayapp.com as there are some spelling errors (30 minute consultaion), and some very long sentences. As a business owner I liked seeing the testimonials, but I wonder if there's a different way of displaying these as they were a little... Source: 9 months ago
