You might consider an offline-maps app. I use Guru Maps (subscription required; can load your own route). There's also Maps.me -- I'm not sure whether it can let you load routes. In either case, having offline maps can be very useful in a pinch, so I recommend one or the other (or something similar) regardless. Source: about 1 year ago
