  I say this falls in line with being the wider trend called Corporate Memphis or Alegria. It's been a trend for a lot of tech campaigns these days where unspecified sex/gender, race, appearance and body type is desired to be more representable (more or less) within the general public.   The vast majority of this style that you see is done by one particular artist and her team at Google, advertising Google Fi. They're so prominent simply due to the digital ad campaign that'll present itself often. Since I visited their site and clicked on links, they'll likely start presenting themselves on my devices too.   You might want to look into Google Fi - it switches to the strongest signal between US Cellular/Sprint/T-mobile. In some areas there is still going to be no signal at all, but I definitely have better coverage than AT&T in the country and the city. Source: over 2 years ago
