I applied for Google Summer SWE Intern Opening on the Google's careers portal with a referral. My Resume got selected and I was called for 2 Rounds of Interviews. After that I got the offer and interned at Google for 10 weeks remotely with the Google Ads team. And finally, I was able to crack the PPO and got a full-time offer from Google as an SWE. I am planning to join them in July 2022. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
I know but in general when you admit something is your fault, people also do expect like some preventive actions for the future. All I can say is that companies for so long despised people changing jobs frequently as a lack of loyalty, etc. These major layoffs don't do anything else than confirm one thing: companies don't give a damn s** about you, if you happen to be in the wrong team or role or location. Look... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
There are over a dozen google data centers in the US and they offer relocation compensation. No idea for the Ohio location, but if you search for DCT jobs on careers.google.com I would imagine you'd be able to find some openings somewhere.. Source: over 1 year ago

No I absolutely didn't do anything special. A while ago I found a post on LinkedIn from a recruiter at Google who recently joined and wrote about going on their website (careers.google.com) to get a job. Source: almost 2 years ago
Ah, sorry for the late response. Respectfully, I think it's a bit dishonest that you've linked to one very specific subpage for one office, presumably the one you found which contained a lot of white people. I'm not sure if I even need to write any more, because the fact that you needed to do that demonstrates my point probably better than I can. But, to say the obvious, have a look at their root careers page (I... - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
Https://careers.google.com/, scroll down to "Spotlight", scroll over to "Data center roles" or "Staff Software Engineer", both pictures of white male talking to white female. Globally white people are about 10% of the population, so I'd expect 1 in 10 people in a representative sample to be white, which feels about right for much of Google's marketing material. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago

I want to apply to FAANG internships, I looked all over careers.google.com, linkedin, etc, and nothing. Not a single internship posting for an undergrad in summer 2022. What's going on here? Did I miss the application cycle or are they not listing internships publicly anymore? Take Google for example: I literally cannot find a portal to apply for an undergrad SWE internship for summer 2022. Can someone help me see... Source: over 2 years ago
