  • My first Desktop app with Go: Batch Image Generator
BTW the demo gif looks really grainy. You could use a tool like https://gifcap.dev to record it or use the ffmpeg palettegen+paletteuse filters like here to make it sharper. Source: 11 months ago
  • How to add Gifs to OneNote.
Use https://gifcap.dev/ to create and save a Gif to PC. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Is there an app I can use to record a prototype on the iPhone with my actual touch indicators showing, for a walkthrough?
I know it's not an exact answer, but the way I get around this is by setting the prototype device to iphone on Figma then recording on PC using https://gifcap.dev/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • This week in KDE: Major bugfixing and screen recording in Spectacle
Can I change the format that spectacle records? I require recording GIFs for work and so far only have found GifCap that works properly as a gif recorder when combining recording gifs, wayland, and kde. (Kooha records videos in slow motion on KDE w/ wayland, saying this because people keep recommending it to me.). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is there any screen recorder on Wayland?
If you are looking for something for basic GIF recording, enabling Pipewire in your browser's flags and using GifCap works great. Otherwise, OBS like others have noted. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How usable is plasma on wayland?
Pretty good. I haven't swapped yet do to there being almost no simple screen recording software to record GIFs with (This plus turning pipewire on in your browser works great.) I need this for my workflow and no, not software like OBS. No KVM software like barrier/input leap/synergy (Couldn't get waynergy to install. They do not list what dependencies you need plus I use fedora kinoite.). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Tried Wayland again, solid enough that I might actually switch (Kubuntu 22.10, NVIDIA)
The only thing I need before I can swap to wayland is for either Synergy or Input Leap to support wayland or there be an alternative. A proper way to take quick Gif recording would be nice too. Using gifcap.dev for now with pipewire enabled through my browser (when I am testing Wayland anyway.). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Was messing around with EAOW and found this shader. Decided to experiment.
Also was looking for gif screen recorder and found this: https://gifcap.dev/ Doesn't need any download. Just point it at a window and it records. In case anyone wants that for fashion showcase. Source: over 1 year ago
  • I was Experimenting with this EOAW and i found the shader so I experimented.
Also found this while looking for gif recording stuff. No download is required. Thought someone might like it: https://gifcap.dev/. Source: over 1 year ago
