Do you use frame.io? You can mark up notes and revisions, and export those as an edl for Resolve and import as markers into Resolve. The use a tool like https://aescripts.com/review-importer/ to import the same comments from frame.io into after effects. Or just use the Frame.io plugin directly inside After Effects too. I never did. I've started sharing cuts with clients a different way and have had to apologize for the glitch. Just tried frame.io today and am still having playback issues. Really frustrating. Source: 5 months ago

So I do remote editing for my brother's training business. We use frame.io and I always download the proxies (sometimes 80-90 clips) to a folder in my documents folder. Is there any way to make it so that all of the clips can get re-pointed to the new file location instead of doing them all manually?Example. Source: 6 months ago
Bonus) This probably doesn't affect you, but in the real world you also need to factor in the costs to do your service, not just your own time. So things like software licence costs, computer costs, review platform (like frame.io) costs, etc. ALL of those things add up to increase your edit rate as a freelancer. Source: 10 months ago
I recently downloaded frame.io which is a plugin for premiere pro, the problem is its not shown on my extensions tab, what can I do. Source: 10 months ago
Lead time is also something that depends a ton on the style of videos. Some might be 1 video a month and some might be 2 a week. Clients usually send me footage and possibly some other assets if needed. Files are sent through frame.io, google drive, dropbox etc. Depending on what the client prefers and what's best for them. Some clients just don't use frame.io especially in my experience with YouTube creators unless its a corporation, they just bang out notes in 2.5 and get back to what they're doing, this more for the editor if they get timestamped revisions like ive gotten in the past. Thanks for the insight! Source: 11 months ago
I've used frame.io but can you explain further please? Source: 11 months ago
You can find templates and stuff online. Generally when I need to do release forms they come from production so I don't have to worry about them but since I'm not a lawyer I'll say that you should probably have a lawyer look over the release for you. Allegedly I know a lot of people who just use the template ones and are fine but ya know. Something I do like to do is set the release up in docusign or dropsign I... Source: 11 months ago
When we put it on a thumbdrive and put it on my Macbook to send to the client and it looks blurry. Also looks blurry when we uploaded it to frame.io. Source: 11 months ago

Hey guys, I'm looking for a two-in-one storage solution for safe storage and file sharing but I need some help finding a direction. Right now I'm moving from various hard drives/ssds and various cloud locations (like google drives, frame.io, box, etc) to hopefully one NAS. I've got the NAS set-up with unraid right now, but there are some other functionalities I haven't set-up in the trial period and I'm... Source: 11 months ago
If anyone has a good solution for this would love to know. frame.io. masv.io to upload and had a connector to frame.io and wasabi so it would send to both automatically and editors could download from frame.io . It worked great, unfortunately, MASV's model means you have to pay 2x for that download, so looking for a way to move the media from frame.io now. Source: 11 months ago
- Ability to import other dynamic transcription formats (json). This is key for anything but english, with OpenAI's whisper being able to churn out freakishly accurate transcripts. - Implement AI Voice Enhancer (and ability to precondition a clip before transcription, to improve accuracy). - Filter out (customized) filler words. - Ability to highlight segments of text. I've been requested in providing a multi-camera stringout to upload to frame.io. Typically, the Post-Production Supervisor does this, but he's unavailable (family emergency) to do this. Looking at the last episode that's been uploaded, he somehow uploaded an exported video showing all four camera angles. Is there a way to do this in Premiere Pro or do I have to manually do this? (See link for example). Source: 11 months ago
In that case frame.io is your best bet. Their desktop app has very fast upload and download speeds and its cheaper than mailing drives or other services. Source: 11 months ago
Ho and by the way I will implement frame.io functionality just for you!-). Source: 12 months ago
Well, you could use frame.io because he can make his notes at exact timecodes, I believe there is a plugin so those notes become markers on your timeline so you can see the exact parts to edit. Source: about 1 year ago
Unfortunate - that stuff is builtin to frame.io for FCP/Prem. Source: about 1 year ago
Was just wondering what do people use to get feedback on their design work? For example, I'm originally a motion designer and for that we have frame.io but is there any similar tool for graphic design? Source: about 1 year ago
