Was offered a $75k job in Spring Valley. Single and looking for a 1bedroom place.
Craigslist worked for me. I come from the craigslist era, so I know how to navigate and weed out all of the scams and stuff that sounds fishy. I did use other sites like forrent.com or rent.com , but I found that those sites were often out of date on availability and price, and I NEVER got any responses when I inquired. Moving to CA?
If you're renting, check out apartments.com or forrent.com to check prices. We don't know your budget or spending style and ultimately you'll just need to live within your means. It is very doable with controlled budget. Keep in mind that the less expensive areas are often (not always) higher crime.
