I don’t know who edits the audio feed but chapter markers are very easy to add in most podcast editors (I use this free app to add chapters for my podcasts btw). Source: 11 months ago
To do chapters in MP3 podcasts another tool is needed for the MP3 before publishing such as: https://overcast.fm/forecast. Source: over 1 year ago
Also please add chapters to the audio podcast like you have on YouTube. You can use a free software like this, or depending on your editing software, it might have built in features to do so. Source: over 1 year ago

Podcasts can change their album art throughout the podcast to show different images. Tools such as Forecast can do this: https://overcast.fm/forecast. Source: over 1 year ago
Forecast - This is for adding metadata to your mp3 files before upload. Think this isn't really necessary anymore (though I stand to be corrected). It's a free downloadable app by overcast.fm and I'm not sure if it's still being actively developed. I like it, though 😁. Cool feature is that if you add chapters using logic markers, it will import them into forecast and embed them into the mp3 somehow. Source: over 1 year ago

Use chapter marks, which should be able to be done with most audio editing software. If you use this great free mp3 encoder called Forecast (from Marco Arment, the guy who made the Overcast podcast app) you can also put image art along at any point timeline, so you can include images in the audio podcast itself not only on youtube! Hi all. I'm new to podcasting. I've been creating chapters in Descript then using Forecast to add links and images. Screenshots. Source: about 2 years ago
The dev who makes the Overcast podcast app made a desktop app for his own use called Forecast which is excellent in my experience. Only barrier is that it's macOS only, so you need a Mac. Source: about 2 years ago

Correct, but also with 1, there is a way to embed chapters into a mp3 file that's a part of the ID3 standard. We use Forecast (https://overcast.fm/forecast) to do it. I've found that most podcast applications either parse these chapters or timecodes in show notes (or support both), and that would be another way to identify moments that as a producer we've called out in the file. I've used Forecast for Podcast chapters several times and it works fantastically. It's really not difficult to do these days. Source: almost 3 years ago
The only thing I wish it had better support for was exporting podcast tracks. Like chapter markers, metadata, etc.. I usually just mixdown to a wav and then use Forecast to make the mp3 to distribute. Source: almost 3 years ago
