  • “Feeling jealous” would be an understatement
I'm honestly not that good at programming, but I found this really awesome game making tool called flowlab and it uses visual logic. Years later and now GALACDRIVE is on the app store with more to come :). Source: 10 months ago
  • Programmers! (Circuiteers) What programming language do you think CV2 is based off?
Mostly because it's what I used before coming to rec room, I think it feels most like flowlab.io with their visual scripting because of how simple everything is. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I volunteered to teach children video game development.
Hi, I'm a little late to the party, but I'd like to introduce you to a game engine called flowlab. It's a simple to learn, yet very powerful visual scripting engine. Source: about 1 year ago
  • My 9yo kid wants to learn how to code to make games, but I have no idea where to start
If you want to start somewhere small but have infinite potential start here> https://flowlab.io/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I wish I had the patience and time to actually learn programming to begin with
Me when I reccomend you to try flowlab.io because I personally love it and it's 10 times easier to get started with compared to most game engines:. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Easy "game maker" software to create an isometric video game with 0 programming knowledge?
If you’re new to game making and don’t mind relying on the web I would wholeheartedly recommend flowlab as a game making tool. It’s primarily visual logic based, has a short learning curve compared to most engines, and despite it not being well known it’s very well documented, is powerful and doesn’t require any additional software as it runs on the browser. • Crumble my game, Universal crumble! A short game made in two weeks for a game jam on a web engine and touched up for another three. Here's a video of a full run - more info in desc.
Universal crumble was made for a gamejam on an internet platform known as flowlab.io. It won the jam by a hair, so I kept at it for another three-ish weeks. The video above was recorded after the game was finished - I have since added more settings, a leaderboard, achievements system and some extra UI objects. Source: over 1 year ago
  • I'm not good.
Some other people have great comments, I just wanted to link to a great website for beginners to learn, I've used it a lot to practice logic and 2d sprites Https://flowlab.io/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • entities?
I made a small backrooms game in flowlab.io but im kinda stuck on what entity to add in a 2d game. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • First try at pixel art for a video game, how does it look? (was going for an exterminator guy)
It's called "Exterminator" and I've been making it on flowlab.io. You can play it here, but there's not really too much to do except jump around (for now). Source: about 2 years ago
  • I want to learn c# but I have no idea how.
a quick search of "online game engine" gave me https://playcanvas.com, https://flowlab.io, and https://gdevelop.io which all appear to have browser based GUIs, but I haven't personally used any of them (or heard of anyone using them tbh). Not sure why you would want that over a local interface, especially when you get into adding audio and art assets which can be quite large. Source: about 2 years ago
  • New menu to game transition for Athena. Do you think I should keep it, or change it to something else?
Ok but it might be simpler and easier to use than an actual game engine? I have made several 'experiences' (I'm not calling them games for personal reasons) that would have been way harder to make in an actual game engine, seeing as I don't know how to code, and looking at words and praying it works really isn't my form of fun. I like making games, it fills me with joy. I'm working on a thing right now, but its... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Does anyone happen to know of a program where I can sort of make an interactive flow chart? This is just for a video game upgrade enhancement, trying to easily figure out the best solution of what item fits in what slot at a glance.
Https://flowlab.io/ (For making games, but what you really need is a flow chart with objects that have properties to search through. At a quick glance this doesn't look like it uses programming). Source: about 3 years ago
