    Deleted my account for "advertising"

Former blogger for Second Life virtual world. ~ Had my account revoked after I was told my blogging was "advertising", even though 100's of other users do the exact same thing. Years of work down the tubes. Will never use it again. ~ Note: They are doing this to push for "PRO" memberships, because the company is hurting for money.

    🏁 Competitors: Instagram, Facebook
πŸ‘ Pros:    Free to start, until you gain too much popularity.|Good for casual use.
πŸ‘Ž Cons:    Spam|Abundance of advertising|Photostream hijacking by ads|Horrible customer service.

  • Instagram alternatives for promoting business, now that EU laws messed it up?
Is flickr.com still alive? It used to be so cool back in the day, but I dropped off from photography in general over like the past decade, so have no clue how things are going over there. Source: 6 months ago
  • 20mm or 35mm prime lens
20mm will look wider on your Z6II than your D40x but it should look the same as it does on any other FX body like the D780 or the D850. Go on flickr.com and search for photos taken with 20mm lenses. You can type 20mm in the search bar. Make sure you look at photos taken with full a full frame camera. If those match the look you are going for, go ahead and grab the 20mm. Source: 11 months ago
  • Some kid said you only these maintenance trains every 20 years?
If it was like the post on 'flickr.com' saying it was a ''19354 DDM45'' Then I know the info to that. Source: 12 months ago
  • Karina & Winter (HQ 12MP)
They should do https://flickr.com/ and gives us hi-res images. πŸ˜…. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Question to Experienced ancestry user:
When you scan your images, you can reduce the quality. You might consider getting a subscription to an on-line photo system, like flickr.com, where you can upload original images of high quality. You could have lower-quality ones on ancestry, or just use an outside link to the photo record you have. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Experiencing Flickr through VR...
I use flickr.com (not .org) so the answer to the first question would be no. Also I don't want to give you my email so I didn't do the survey. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Good coding Collages?
You can find some on https://flickr.com. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know about photography or cameras! Don't be shy! Newbies welcome!

  • Azure Front Door vs. Cloudflare
So if you have high traffic/static content (f.ex. https://flickr.com/) then CF is a steal. You don't get 100% SLA with pro, you need business for that (200$ a month). Source: over 1 year ago
  • [Alamance County, NC] S. occipitomaculata?
Nothing definitive, but it definitely looks more like S. Dekayi to me. I have a little list I compiled to help people learn to recognize the differences between these two which I'll post below. Won't help a lot here (though it might help you understand why I lean in one direction rather than the other), but it might help if you see another and will definitively help if you want to get some practice using good... • Massive use of div containers in Yelp.com: is that really necessary?
Now that I've completed my flickr.com homepage clone, I'm trying to copy the yelp.com homepage (Italian version). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Where can I upload large public domain images I created without limitations on file sizes?
That said, flickr.com lets you upload images up to 200 MB, mark them as CC0 or "no known copyright restriction". There is a limit to how many images you can upload without a paid account. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Cafe in Long Bien, Hanoi.
I am based in Hanoi, Vietnam. You can see a lot more of my photos on flickr.com. The link is https://www.flickr.com/photos/42209863@N02/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Looking at a beginner camera for planespotting
If you're just documenting what you see then any good "superzoom camera" (<-- google that) will do. They're small and lightweight point-n-shoot cameras that have good enough image and video quality and affordable zoom capabilities. Your money will go a lot farther with one of those. That said - their image quality is not going to win many photography prizes. After you're done googling around and found a few... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Developing an eye for a good design
For instance, to find inspiration, it’ll be useful to examine new arts on Dribbble, Behance, Artstation etc. Don’t forget to explore websites of photographers (Shutterstock, Flickr) and take a look at unusual collections of brand identity and typography several times a month. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago

Flickr is a great site. I've been sharing photos there since 2004. It's a great community. You should check it out! Source: about 2 years ago
  • Looking to get into photography as a hobby. Would I be crazy if I bought this camera?
This is what I do before I purchase ANY gear - go to flickr.com, find a group of amazing wildlife photos and take a look at their exif data. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Found in a thrift store in The Netherlands. Quite mesmerising. Very heavy frame. Looking for the era and painter (no signature).
It's an attempt to knock Alexander Koester famous duck paintings. But it doesn't have the vibrancy, the play of light and shade and movement that Koester's works have. He's famous for his duck paintings, along with others but it was him I thought of when I saw this. The link is to a Koester painting series on flickr.com I'm just demonstrating at how poor a knock off like this compared to a master like... Source: about 2 years ago
