Also the app Fig ( Link to website here ) is decent but it is a subscription. It can help you find some prepackaged foods that fit your dietary needs. Idk how it is outside the US though, so check it out if you want to. Source: 11 months ago
But now the term has become useless. People with several or multiple allergies have to do a ton more research to find out if it’s safe for them. Shoutout to this app though for those with a lot of allergies. Source: about 1 year ago
Foodisgood.com-includes an app called Fig to help select low histamine foods. Source: over 1 year ago
A resource I found e trememly helpful is the site (and now they have an app) Food is Good (FIG), you can set your dietary needs and then pick a store and they'd show you products that meet those needs. Makes it somewhat easier. Source: over 1 year ago
All this to say, try eating low histamine foods for the next few days to a week, maybe oregano tea (poleo plant) and be mindful that antihistamines don't stop the production of histamine, they just block it from spreading so once you stop you may get a rush of it. I'd go back to the doc and request more testing, at least that way you can cross things out AND are working with a doctor to figure things out. Source: almost 2 years ago
That website has many helpful tools and I also use an allergy scanner app to help manage the harder allergens like corn. The one I use currently is the Fig app https://foodisgood.com/ Because it allows for multiple diet specifications. Source: almost 2 years ago
Is there an app similar to FIG but for medications? Source: almost 2 years ago
FIG has a low fodmap filter, still has things missing but it's free so I'd give that a try first. Source: almost 2 years ago
The Fig app: This lets you scan groceries against a list of foods that are safe and not safe for your diet. It has been a very handy little tool for me. Source: almost 2 years ago
Https://foodisgood.com It doesn’t look like it’s available outside the US, at least not yet. 😕. Source: about 2 years ago
