Discord? Why use the native app instead of just the browser version? Use e.g. Ferdium (https://ferdium.org/) to have all your messaging apps in one place. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
Also, as a different approach, to some degree Ferdium can act as a central place for various messaging platforms even if the integration that Pidgin (and Adium) and libPurple provided is not possible this way. Station is similar and a bit better but is in desperate need of developers. Both are FLOSS. https://ferdium.org/ https://getstation.com/. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
I've moved on to Ferdium by the way via the ferdium-electron AUR package. I also use Tuta, Skiff, Google Messages and YouTube Music with it. Source: over 2 years ago
I'm on linux and use Ferdium - believe that they have a mac version. Prepare to be blow away my friend -- its pretty much "Pidgin"(if you're that old to remember) for any web based application. I have it synced to so many thing. Source: over 2 years ago

Thanks. This is a workaround and doesn't fix the essential issue because I want to make all the links open in the default Firefox profile just like all other Chrome based solutions (ex. Ferdium). Source: over 3 years ago
For a long time, I have been using Ferdium for having all communicators in one place. Ferdium (forked from Ferdi, but there is also Rambox and few more apps) is not a smart solution. Basically, it's Electron based frames with common notification framework. Source: over 3 years ago

I dont think I understand, from their website, what that product is. It just combines various web apps into a single desktop window? Source: over 3 years ago
On the same note, Ferdium. Ferdium is really nice isolated way of accessing my chat/email/feed/social media. It was annoying when I needed to keep my browser open at all times, and it's more convenient to centralize it in one place that's automatically saved for when I distro-hop. Its dark mode works well enough, and userscript support... isn't mature, but works well enough to block some ads. Source: over 3 years ago
There's Ferdium - https://ferdium.org/ - it's kind like a web browser for apps. Source: over 3 years ago
I use Ferdium. Its FOSS, forked from Franz. I use it because its cross platform and consistent across all platforms. Also you can make an account and it syncs all apps. Source: over 3 years ago
Ferdium [1] will at least cover Discord/Slack/Mattermost/Teams. "Ferdi is a hard-fork of Franz, and Ferdium is a hard-fork of Ferdi" [2]. The available services are listed here [3].
