Https://messenger.com should work, as it's not connected to a browser. Also https://m.facebook.com/messages or https://mbasic.facebook.com/messages. - Source: Reddit / 25 days ago
Hello everybody. I have been facing a problem for at least 2 days, when I go to facebook.com/messenger or messenger.com it shows me that the chat is constantly loading and it stays that way. I tried to delete cache, cookie, anything, another browser, it does the same. I have no problem on the mobile application. - Source: Reddit / 28 days ago
So, I'm looking for an application, which behaves like a normal app - it stays there in the task manager, I can minimize / maximize it. And then - I can add "tiles", being simply web pages (URL's) like https://messenger.com. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago

I run on the latest version of regular Opera on desktop (85.0.4341.75) on Windows 10 x64 and Facebook hasn't been working for a couple days now, the messenger sidebar tab works, messenger.com and instagram.com are accessible, only facebook.com is blocked and displays an error message. - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
The title is self-explanatory. Does Opera GX's integrations consume less memory than the web pages of that same service? For example, FB Messenger integration vs messenger.com or Discord integration vs discord.com. Thanks in advance! - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
One example would be when using a site like messenger.com, the URL is automatically redirected to one specific to whomever you most recently messaged (e.g. messenger.com/t/fdslakjs). Opening that URL later will highlight the same recipient, regardless of who you messaged most recently, etc. I'd like the Web Application shortcut to go to messenger.com, but "installing" it in the normal way forces you to use the... - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
I followed one of the prompts on screen to download the standalone Messenger app. This was not the version from the App Store -- that one is too new and won't install on High Sierra. It downloaded directly from Facebook (actually messenger.com) and when it installed I had to allow it in the Security Prefs since it was from an unrecognized developer. All good -- except that I should only have to do that once. BUT:... - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?form factor is important, build quality should be relatively durable and not super cheap plastic but I'm okay with medium quality+ plastic. Performance is not a very big objective since I already have a 14" laptop for demanding stuff, but I wanna use this for at least 5 years. I'm using an HP mini 1000... - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Whenever I open facebook and go to messenger, I keep getting a "connecting..." message, which is new in the past few days. I also can't even go to messenger.com at all. Totally blocked. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Nah, the screenshots show something entirely different, the app looks minimal and closer to Apple's Messages. Whereas in my case, the app is a wrapper for messenger.com :/. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
I installed it and it looks like messenger.com. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Dark reader for Safari is broken for messenger.com and it costs $5 when it's free for Firefox and Chrome/Brave and works perfectly on them. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Please try to reinstall Messenger. Uninstall it with official way and then download it from messenger.com to be sure. After uninstalling I recommend to scan your system with some kind software like Malwarebytes and ADW Cleaner. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
It's the icon next to Software Update that's throwing me off, but the version numbers seem to line up. I also tried downloading it from messenger.com and it seems to be fine, if you want to be super safe I would just uninstall it and reinstall from the Microsoft Store if you have that option. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
When I was trying to access messenger.com on my linux machine it redirects to this video https://www.c778.com/South32.South32.South32.mp4 weird. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
You're right, Chrome in android defaults to the messenger app install page. But I just, as a consequence of your questions, installed the Opera browser from Google Play Store, and entered messenger.com address and it came up with a logon screen that worked for my messenger account. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
You can just use messenger.com instead of logging into facebook. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
I think if you're able to use Facebook for just the tools - Messenger, Events, Marketplace, small groups (for hobbies and not polarizing things), etc. Then it works pretty well. I haven't read my newsfeed in months and I exclusively use messenger.com for messaging. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
