Try ETF DATABASE and use their free search engine to look for short term bond ETF. Why short term? Because the Fed is still planning to raise rates. When they start to cut, you can move into intermediate or long term. You will have choices between Treasury, corporate, municipal, and blended. But at least you can search for parameters you like. What do people generally use for discovering new trade symbols? I mean something along the lines of etfdb.com but for other assets as well (e.g. Individual companies or new cryptos). Etfdb.com I think you mean which now go by the name of VettaFi. I don't really get where they're coming from. Surely they should have some analytics for each ETF but no graphs, no tools. You may not be doing this, but REITs should only be part of a well diversified portfolio. Type in a ticker symbol into google and you can easily figure out if its a etf of fund. There are also specialized sites for etfs like etfdb.com From your questions and follow ups you may first spend some time educating yourself and coming up with a desired portfolio allocation that you can then slowly fill out. ETFs don't get rated in the same way as stocks; since they represent a 'basket of stocks' instead of a single one there is no real way to predict outcomes with great accuracy. You'll find some analysts do rate ETFs and/or rank them in relation to closely related ETFs - Morningstar is best known for this, though they don't do this for all that many etfs.
