Craig has had issues for over a year now iirc the dev stopped working on it and has been focusing on https://ecastr.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
I didn't abandon multi-track recording entirely tho. I am now the author of Ennuicastr, https://ecastr.com/ . It's the same multi-track synchronization technology as Craig, but not tied to Discord. There are also many other competitors in this space, which I've compared (with some bias as I wrote one) here: https://ecastr.com/compare/. Source: almost 2 years ago
If your interface's inputs show as channels to the PC, then in ultra-HQ (FLAC) mode, Ennuicastr ( https://ecastr.com/ ) can record every channel separately. The user in question just has to set "channels" to "all" in the input settings. It'll still be one (multi-channel) track, but any standard audio editor can split that track into one track per channel. Source: about 2 years ago
This year I did a fantasy football podcast for my league and used https://ecastr.com . It was all remote and it records us separately. Everyone loved the sound. Source: about 2 years ago
We just started using https://ecastr.com and really like it. Source: about 2 years ago
Https://ecastr.com/ and/or craig bot in discord here. We also record locally in garage band, reaper, or audacity, and sync to the craig or ecastr track. Source: over 2 years ago
