  • The best way to donate to tree planting
Ecosia has a good tree planting shop at https://plant.ecosia.org/, though, from what I can tell, it's not tagged. They cost 3 USD per tree, and Ecosia is pretty reputable so you can know that it is going to be spent well. Team Trees is still running, at 1 USD per tree, but I'm not sure how reputable it is, and it also does less than Ecosia. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago

  • Controversy surrounding Kiwi browsers
It does, at least for the links that show content like msn.com, bing.com, search.yahoo.com, and ecosia.org. Other links like search.kiwibrowser.org are functional but have no content, or are down like mobile-search.me. Strangely, Kiwi redirects m.trovi.com to Google, which is subject to adblocking. - Source: Reddit / 6 months ago

A few past Uplifting stories mention that, how a lot of conservation goals are well in reach. Mostly though you have to search around. One prominent one is the ecosia.org website. It's a search engine but it's also a conservation website that can help lead you to other ones. But the biggest thing that most tell you is that, we're not as bad off as we think we are. Yes, the future is going to be harder for our... - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago

Using ecosia.org since 2019, but when the dark theme? It will also save some impact in OLED screens, maybe not a big battery saver, but still better than the white background. - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago
