• Need Advice on Drone "Sidehustle"

  I have passed my part 107, formed an LLC, have a website, and a couple youtube channels. I am working on liability insurance, but in the mean time have submitted some bids on jobs on droners.io, which have been neither read, rejected, or accepted. • I’m devastated

  From what I gather from others around me, is start with drone service websites. Like dronebase, droners.io and so on. Heck, even real-estate companies need certified pilots. So many got caught hiring uncertified pilots and got fines of $10k or more so a certified pilot with a fair rate according to them would be welcomed. Source: over 1 year ago

• Alternatives to DroneBase?

  DroneBase has had the most consistent requests but it's probably because construction and real estate are so hot in our region. My full-time job includes piloting so I only accept missions as I have time or the money is right. Flyguys is good as well but I haven't seen much from them.. I have never flown PrecisionHawk and I didn't like droners.io but I think that was mostly because they don't have as strong of a... Source: about 2 years ago

• Drones work wonders!

  Both dronebase.com and droners.io no longer work for me. The first doesn't allow me to complete my profile and begin accepting jobs, and for the second, the "Register" as a pilot button has been disabled. Not that it'd be life changing getting jobs from them, as I'm told that the pay sucks anyway. Source: almost 3 years ago

• Is there a market for surveying/photographing construction jobs? Shot this with DJI Air 2S for a contractor buddy of mine (not paid)

  I'd definitely have a look at https://droners.io/ if you're interested in freelance work, although I'm not sure how much construction stuff they have. In my experience the jobs usually available are in very rural areas because most people aren't willing to drive that far. Source: almost 3 years ago

• Bought a drone in hopes making money but I am thinking about returning it.

  Sorry I should have specified. I don’t do anything with drones (I’m a product engineer). The pilots flyover buildings and we get a 3D map of the building that coworkers use for layouts to know what products/lengths the customer needs for the sales team. The pilots we hire are all freelance for this program since it’s all over the US. We use a website like this for pilots. Source: almost 3 years ago
