  • If a kid being sent to one of those "kidnap you in the night" bootcamps kills someone during the kidnap, is it self defense?
Yes. There are a lot of them, and they are popular in Utah, and the Dominican Republic. Its for parents who think their kids is out of control because they take drugs, or hang around the wrong people, or don't want to go to church, or date the wrong person, or aren't getting good enough grades, or are manifesting behaviour because of trauma, or come out as gay (this is a common one, they are usually religious... • I need a game where you can commit financial fraud.
Can I interest you in Eve Online? That link takes you to a cracked.com article about how one guy scammed folks out of millions of dollars. Source: 8 months ago
  • People hate guns until they find themselves in a situation where they needed one.
I really had no idea how bad the suicide stat was until cracked.com brought it up years ago (when it was good). It was somethign like nearly half or more gun deaths were straight suicides. Source: 10 months ago
  • Does anyone else feel a lot younger than their peers?
Like why would I want to watch Breaking Bad or any serious drama when I already lived serious drama all through childhood? Jokes and silliness or I turn it off. Firefly or House MD are about my limit for serious entertainment. And my favorite news channel is one of those old cracked.com comedy writers on YouTube. Source: 10 months ago
  • Did you think you could have survived if project zomboid was real?
The rotting thing is a point ignored by almost all zombie medium. Of course, getting around the initial "dead thing can walk" is a pretty big leap in itself. There's a hilarious article (or there used to be at least) on cracked.com named something like "10 Reasons a Zombie Apocalypse Would Fail (quickly)" and rotting was reason #1 or 2. Best line from the whole article though was "We (humans) are a zombie's... Source: 10 months ago
  • What Seemingly Happy Ending Gets Worse When You Think About What Must’ve Happened Next?
As cracked.com put it "It's Bear Grylls and a legitimate psychic as 12-year olds.". Source: 10 months ago
  • Alabama deputies fatally shoot man who fired at utility worker, sheriff says
I once signed up late for college classes and got stuck in whatever had room, including "Women in American History." Add on a bunch of old cracked.com articles and some CGP Grey videos from YouTube, plus that Howard Zinn textbook, and suddenly it's a story that makes terrible icky sense instead of just being a bunch of random events done by men in fancy hats. Source: 11 months ago
  • IIWY is DEAD. What the BITCH do I listen to now?
Wow Soren and Daniel from cracked.com have a podcast? I'll put it on my list. Source: 12 months ago
  • "God Bless the United Forest of Fangorn"
Thank you for commenting this. The cracked.com fan theory shit is extremely corny. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Spokane's electrified interurban railway map (1906)
I first heard about it while reading funny/educational articles on cracked.com like a decade ago. Turns out there were a lot of well-documented old timey conspiracies, and the worse they were the less likely anyone got punished. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Greatest SNL head writer of all time?
YEP! Love to see the peak college humor and cracked.com writers/performers move on to great things! Source: about 1 year ago
  • Timely Man Show Review
Here is a cracked.com article I had posted before - https://www.cracked.com/article_32034_the-dubious-evolution-of-jimmy-kimmel-and-howard-stern.html. Source: about 1 year ago
  • What famous person didn't deserve all the hate that they got?
YES!!! I caught that one. Man I miss the old cracked.com. Life is a little worse without it. Source: about 1 year ago
  • If I research something that I know will lead me to a lot of sketchy websites are there things I should do in addition to using virus protection software?
Mostly these websites are outdated and some of them might try to have me automatically download things I don't want to download. Is there a safe mode or some kind of quarantine switch that I can turn on? Most of them aren't https because the people making the websites are even less tech-savvy than I am. Some of the websites are "noisy" and have a lot of pop-ups and things going on, sort of like cracked.com or... Source: about 1 year ago
  • The John Wick story occurred because one of his former coworkers didn't give his son a list of forbidden targets.
People spent too much time reading cracked.com and decided that consuming pop culture required analyzing it in a way that indicates that you don't understand that it's fictional. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Ok, but like, Mulan definitely has ADHD.
And the cracked.com article is absolute trash. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Frugal husband or are we financially incompatible?
You gotta figure out how to get him to have the aha moment where he connects these feelings to his behavior. I wish I had good advice. I read a cracked.com article about it over a decade ago, and that's how I was able to change my attitude about money, but that's sort of an irrelevant platform. Source: about 1 year ago
  • So I've cleared Westpoint on insane population and I'm on my way to Louisville
A great article on cracked.com (if it's still up) is "Why a Zombie Apocalypse would fail- quickly). It's a hilarious read but #1 is humans. My favorite line is: "A zombie's only source of food and reproduction is also it's most dangerous predator. That would be like having to fight a lion every time you wanted to make a sandwich or have sex.". Source: about 1 year ago
  • Obsidian handaxe-making workshop from 1.2 million years ago discovered in Ethiopia
I remember my first disillusion with cracked.com when someone argued that the macahuitl worked essentially as a chainsaw and you could cut a horse's head off with it. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Bored
Cracked.com and instructables.com are great. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What movie should've become a Cult Classic but never did?
There's definitely an evolution of the storytelling and writing as you read the books - it's kinda Eldritch Scooby Doo Gang on Acid with a shake of cracked.com and dick humor in there - but it's absolutely one of my favorite series. They're pretty readable - 400-500 pages each - enough to keep you enthralled, but not too long to overwhelm you. I think you should give them a shot. I'll never forget the first time I...
