   Simple and does the job

   I've been using Disk Inventory X for many years now. It's very convenient when you want to clean up your mac's hard drive.

  Another way would be to use nmap from a Linux machine or virtual machine using: $ sudo nmap 192.168.0.1/24 where the subnet address is replaced with yours. • So Im having trouble with storage. I have an external drive but I noticed my M1 iMac with 256GB of storage was getting pretty full. Upon further investigation it seems as though my user folder is 202GB, yet when I open up the subfolders in my user folder they don't add up. Any ideas?

  WinDirStat (Windows) or Disk Inventory X (Mac) - These are similar to Space Sniffer. Helpful for getting a visual overview of your disk usage, and cleaning up the disk. Source: about 2 years ago
