  XWStats is a great resource for advanced tracking of your own stats as well as comparisons to others. Go to a given puzzle's individual page to see the median solve time for that day - for example, the median solve time for Sunday 3/5 was 20:57. • Anyone know much about how/if NYT (or other outlets) uses data to model puzzle difficulty or predict completion rate?

  I kind of doubt it, but XW stats does try to track this through user input. I suppose someone could try to train a model to compare new puzzles to ones in the database for an estimate of difficulty. Source: over 1 year ago
